Canned on 7/14/20; consumed on 8/8/20
Pours a turbid, almost milky, mango-gold body capped with a finger and a half of rocky, soapy foam; sub-par head retention yields a paper-thin, frothy cap, moderate collar, semi-creamy collar, and a dense splotching of webby lacing around the glass.
Aroma opens with intensely ripe white grape must setting a tone as dank, grassy tones steadily develop over the middle as saturated, sticky peach and mango zest highlight a more intense tropical close to the close.
Taste offers a level expression of white grape feeding into a blunt tone of ultra-dank, pithy mango as herbal undertones steadily take hold over the mid-palate; waves of dense, almost incognizant tropical fruits wash over the back end of the profile, showing fleeting bursts of pineapple, grapefruit, and lychee as grassy notes and booze remain through the finish.
Mouthfeel brings a medium-full body alongside a spritzy, fluffy, moderate carbonation; creamy touches hint at juicy undertones over the mid-palate, never forming completely before reaching silky yet boozy burn on the finish.
Intense and borderline one-dimensional, this TIPA presents the style's tropes of boozy intensity against Monkish's relentlessly stable hoppy composure; the overall aggression of this one wins out slightly, though it remains a consistent and effective, high-octane NEIPA concoction as a whole.

Sweet pineapple juicy, tropical hoppy, bready/biscuity, and hint of orange citrus nose on this one! Taste follows with a sweet tropical hoppy bitter bite...with a nice citrus dank kick to it. The booziness I encountered when I had this fresh is less pronounced this time...it's still there, but more subdued this go around. This has a great mouthfeel it...it's a tad dry on the finish, but it works! Fantastic!
