Collaboration with Omnipollo
Double Dry Hopped (DDH) Special Cookie Double IPA w/ cookies, vanilla beans, and milk sugar. Back in the old days of non- social distancing when we didn’t know how to spell quaranteen, Omnipollo and we imagined the idea of a special edible, dank cookie DIPA. Since the first batch we’ve explored extra vanilla and fruited versions, and for this batch we double dry hopped the beer for some extra dankness. Ugandan vanilla beans for a more complex and earthy vanilla balance.

Was lucky enough to pick up a 4-pack of this one and other one with my stay up in Manhattan Beach. Monkish’s website called it, “SPACE COOKIE: EXTRA DANK. Poured a golden murky color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Some light bubbles creeping up along the side of the glass. World-class spiderweb foamy lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled vanilla, chocolate chip cookie, sugary milk, lactose and hints of coconut. For mentioned hops, seemed to get some Galaxy and Vic Secret, and lesser Citra. Got better as it went down. Much of the same from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted at least as good as the nose, probably better. Got vanilla, chocolate cookie, sugary milk, lactose and light coconut. For the mentioned hops, got Galaxy and Vic Secret, with lesser Citra. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, dry finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Another excellent beer from Monkish. Liking this out of the box style thinking with Omipollo. (Overall - 4.25)
