Glass: Clear 16-oz. Bruges beer glass
Price: $20 for a 4-pack
From: Monkish Brewing Company in Torrance, Calif.
Purchased: April 9, 2021
Consumed: April 24, 2021
Misc.: Canned on April 8, 2021 at 10:01 a.m. PT; Split 4-pack with Sonny
Picked up a 4-pack of this and four others while picking up my family a few weeks ago. Their website called it a “Double Dry Hopped (DDH) IPA featuring Mosaic hops. (DDH version of Props and Stunts).” Oh yeah.
Poured a medium yellow hazy color with 1-to-2 fingers of frothy-to-fizzy white head. Lots of bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Good spotty lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 3.75)
Damn. This beer smelled terrific. Got Mosaic, juicy tangerine, mango, mixed berry, orange citrus, grapefruit, pineapple, pine, floral, Juicy Fruit and stone fruit. Just as good out of the can. (Smell - 4.50)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose, but pretty close. In order got Mosaic, juicy tangerine, orange citrus, mango, grapefruit, pineapple, pine, berry, Juicy Fruit, stone fruit, floral, rose petal and hints of peppery spice. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Juicy finish. (Feel - 4.75)
Damn. Just a world-class New England IPA. Wish I would have got some more of this. (Overall - 4.50)
