Sweet tropical hoppy, orange citrus, and tropical piney-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a hoppy and subdued citrus bitter swallow. I think Strata is playing the dominant role here...wish the citrus notes were a bit more pronounced. This is a juicy and flavorful single hazy...maybe a tad thinner than other Monkish singles. Good.

Canned on 6/9/21; consumed on 6/25/21

Pours a completely hazed dark mango-gold body capped with around a finger of soapy, pillowy, white foam; decent head retention leaves a spotty, paper-thin cap along with a slight, frothy collar and haphazard spatter of thin, webby lacing ringing around the walls of the glass.

Aromas of waxy, dank white grape underlies brighter orange with supportive tangerine zest tones upfront; creamy lime flows into bready malts over the middle as earthier papaya rind and a grassy hop texture takes hold as ruby red grapefruit peel accents the close.

Taste features waxy dank and oily resins upfront, broghtened with citric elements of clementine zest, orange peel, and light grapefruit into the mid-palate; mossy hops contrast juicy peach on the back end into musty, overripe white grape returning on the finish with a boggy sort of dankness.

Mouthfeel brings a medium body with a subtle, fluffy carbonation dispersing a quaint prickle into a lush, juicy creaminess over the mid-palate; an underlying bitterness maintains against the balanced, pillowy grit as the finish sparks with a distant, almost quenching dryness.

Another exercise in consistency from Monkish, seeing a full hop profile shine forward and offering diversity matched with easy drinkability; while not a stunner, this is yet another one serving well in their IPA portfolio.
