We combined two of our popular DDH DIPAs: Water Balloon Fight Club + Bomb Atomically. Anniversary DDH DIPA with tropical-thiol-boosting Phantasm. Combined grain bills and a dry hop round of Water's Citra + Mosaic + Simcoe, and then Bomb's dry hop combo of Mosaic + Citra + Galaxy.

Thanks, Dave!
Got three Monkish beers and a few others from Dave when he was in San Diego. Although this was a bit behind my usual rule of 60 days (I’d rather it be under 30) (it was 80 days), I decided to give it a full review basically because it was Monkish and most likely it was released well too early anyway. An online description I found for this one was “We combined two of our popular DDH DIPAs: Water Balloon Fight Club + Bomb Atomically. Anniversary DDH DIPA with tropical-thiol-boosting Phantasm. Combined grain bills and a dry hop round of Water's Citra + Mosaic + Simcoe, and then Bomb's dry hop combo of Mosaic + Citra + Galaxy.”
Poured a light golden hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of white frothy head. Could see some bubbles creeping up along the sides of the glass. Excellent uneven foamy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled Mosaic, bubblegum, mixed berry, Citra, pineapple, Simcoe, pine, peach, nectarine, hints of Galaxy, passion fruit and grapefruit. Just as good from the can with pineapple dominating and the addition of mango. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted just as good as the nose. This was solid. In order got Mosaic, pineapple, grapefruit, bubblegum, citrus pulp, tangerine, orange, Simcoe, pine, peach, bitter apricot skin, hints of mentioned Galaxy, light passion fruit and lemon. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, citrusy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was an excellent hazy DIPA. Maybe the sweet spot for Monkish haze is 80 days. (Overall - 4.25)

Hazy orangina color with spicy tropical fruit cat piss nose. Round mouthfeel minor fizz. Balanced. An average monkish.

Sweet tropical hoppy, pineapple-orange juicy, and hint of earthy-citrus nose on this one! Taste follows with that hoppy, pineapple juice upfront...and then an orange citrus bitter finish. This is fantastic...with a great use of galaxy here. You get some of that earthiness, but those pineapple juice vibes overwhelm it...like the old school batches of Galaxy that were fire back in the day. Also, the phantasm use by Monkish seems to be at the top of the class. They have figured out how to use it without it overpowering/over influencing the hops. This is well-balanced, settled in, and drinking great!
