Canned on 10/6/22; consumed on 11/1/22
Pours a turbid, milky dark sunflower-yellow body capped with just shy of two fingers of fluffy, white foam; solid head retention yields a vague layer of cap, slight, frothy collar, and a comprehensive dispersion of sudsy lacing draping down the walls of the glass.
Aromas of orange creamsicle resound, fading to passionfruit and a touch of dank white grape in the backdrop, leaving orange essence and a grassy hop undertone competing with an encroaching floral vanilla on the back end of the bouquet.
Taste opens to a slight grapefruit zest as orange meshes with creamy vanilla toward a boggy, dank mid-palate; a residual mossy inflection on the back end informs notes of white grape in the distance as the finish nears.
Mouthfeel shows a medium body and a fluffy spritz of moderate carbonation, leaving juicy resins leading to a vaguely bitter prickle through the mid-palate as a drying overtone with creamy subtext washes over the back end of the palate.
Vanilla-forward balance impresses a milkshake underbelly, while hop-imparted citrus and danker resins contrast creaminess to an expressive middle ground between uninhibited indulgence and adept dry-hopping.
