On tap at the Brewpub today, June 20, 2017.
The appearance was a muddled semi-dark brown to slight purple hued color. Subtle transparency. Slight sheet of white foamy head.
The aroma covered the blueberry sweet to tart, flesh and skin, subtle hints of sweet brown sugar, light grassy to citrusy tones and ended with a little bit of sweet to bitter oats.
The flavor blended the sweet to the tart fairly well through the blueberry up front. Brown sugar sat a bit further back and then a clean nourishing aftertaste of the blueberries glided in.
The mouthfeel was almost medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation hung nicely around the feel but not distracting. ABV felt appropriate as projected by the brewer.
Overall, yes, I can see this as a fruit/vegetable beer and a mighty good one. Good job, Nate and company!
