Twins Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout

From the growler via the brewery in a snifter. This Heaven Hill Barrel aged version
of this brew pours a dark coal black with a decent head of tan foam that settles to
a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and shows light lacing. Nose of sweet chocolate, cream,
dark bitter cherry (oxidation), oak, vanilla, and bourbon. Flavors follow with a cherry
note, cream, dark chocolate, subtle dark coffee, mellow bourbon, light oak, and moderate
char. Decent mouth feel; full body, light carbonation, lightly coating, and finishing
a touch on the cloying side of sweet with a lightly tart finish.

Overall, a decent brew that could use some work on the recipe, especially the
tart cherry note.
