Any last requests? Maybe three pints of our IPA and you won’t feel what that (always drunk) “Hangin’ Judge” is about to deliver. This is a big beer, yet very drinkable. Cascade, Summit and Northern Brewer hops provide a fantastic citrusy aroma and flavor to this strong, yet dangerously quaffable, IPA.

Served on tap tall glass Montana City grill and saloon. Darkmagus described it well. Although heavy on the alcohol side, that does not dominate at all and only hints along the way, so this is an easy to drink IPA, however, as noted, the hops are also quite muted thus making it a bit atypica with a heavy aspect but this is a good beer with a kick and different. I'm thinking individuals will either like it a lot or not at all. I like it, but would tend toward a hopper brew in general unless desirous of the kick.

Served on tap in a snifter
Appearance – The beer is served a hazed golden amber color with a tiny head of white foam. The head fades almost instantly leaving just traces of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer strongest of a bready and caramel smell with other hop aromas of a grapefruit citrus. Some lighter hop aromas of a pine and grassy nature are there as well, along with a little bit of a fruity smell of orange and peach.
Taste – The taste begins with a rather thick and bready taste complimented by a mix of caramel and some sweeter fruit of a citrus nature. The caramel grows more intense with the bready transitioning to a buttery-doughy taste. There is a light grapefruit hop flavor upfront which grows slightly stronger toward the middle and fades again a bit at the end. Along with the grapefruit, are some light pine and floral hop flavors which remain in the background throughout. In the end, a little bit of a boozy taste comes to the tongue and mixes with the sweet and doughy flavors to leave one with a somewhat lightly hopped malty flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thicker and creamier side with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. For the style it is rather nice as it accentuates the malt as well as the lighter hop tastes of the brew, bolstering them a bit.
Overall – Not really the best imperial IPA out there. It was rather sweet with not enough hop flavor to be a balanced and tasty Imperial IPA.
