Poured from growler into a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours a golden amber color with a one finger head of pure white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, fading to leave a decent level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma of the beer is strongest of a bready and lightly grainy smell mixed with a decent fruity smell of a citrus, apple, and peach. Along with these aromas comes some hoppy notes of a more earthy and slightly pine nature, giving a rather malty and decently hopped and sweet aroma overall.

Taste – The taste begins with a mix of a bready and lightly sweetened taste with some caramel and a light fruit flavor of apple and peach. The fruit flavors seem to dwindle as the taste advances, all while the bready flavor is complimented by some slightly grainy flavors. A light hop is also present upfront, with it being mainly of a citrus nature. As the taste advances however, the citrus hop is joined by some more earthy and pine hop tastes, which end up becoming the dominant hop flavor of the brew, overall bringing a slight bit of a dankness to the taste. With all the flavor transitions that occur throughout the taste, one is left with a nice, more crisp, and moderately hopped (for an English pale ale) flavor to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of carbonation and thickness with a carbonation level that is average as well. For the mix of malt, sweet, and hop the feel is very nice, making for a nice and easy drinker.

Overall – This was a rather enjoyable brew with a good and easy drinking feel. A rather nice and flavorful English pale ale.
