Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a clear golden amber color with a one finger head of billowy white foam. The head fades relatively quickly leaving nice level of lace rings on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a nice citrus orange and grapefruit smell mixed with a little bit of a cracker aroma. Along with these aromas comes some lighter notes of a sweet caramel and a bit of a grassy and earthy hop smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a nice sweeter citrus and caramel flavor that is accompanied by a little bit of an earthy and grapefruit hop upfront. As the taste moves on, the citrus sweet fades a bit all while more hop comes to the tongue, with the hop being predominantly of an earthy and grassy nature. With the loss of some of the sweeter orange, the flavor dries out a little bit, and due to the new hop as well as a little bit of a hay and grass, one is left with a decently hop blended, but lighter hopped overall, drier bready/cracker flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the slightly thinner to average side with a carbonation level is very average. For the lighter, but nicely blended hop flavor mixed with the moderate sweetness and decent cracker taste the feel is quite nice and makes for a good easy drinking brew overall.
Overall – A rather nice easy drinking pale ale with a good lighter hop blend and a very easy drinking feel. It is perfect for the venue it is named after in which it is all about a day of fun in the sun walking about and exploring the Bozeman scene.
