Served on tap in a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours a golden amber color with a hint of haze. Upon serving there is a small one finger white head that fades relatively quickly, leaving a bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma of the beer is heaviest of a bready smell mixed with a bit of a caramel sweetness. Along with these smells comes some sweeter citrus smells of orange and some hop aromas of a light herbal smell. There is a little bit of a grainy smell as well as some sweeter corn smells, which when combined with the rest, gives a rather inviting aroma overall.

Taste – The taste begins with a rather malty bready taste that has caramel and fruit tastes of a harvest fruit nature upfront. The harvest fruits fade as the taste advances, all while the caramel tastes increase a little bit and are joined by a bit of a grainy malt. Some hop tastes of grapefruit and some more dank hop tastes of an earthy and grassy nature develop toward the middle of the taste, with these growing stronger to the end. With the lessening of the sweet, an increase in the grainy tastes, and the advent of a decent sum of hoppiness, one is left with a somewhat malty but sorta drier, and very nicely mixed hopped pale taste to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the averages side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the style both are OK, but nothing too out of the ordinary; overall making for a rather easy drinking brew.

Overall – This was a rather nice pale overall. A good deal of dank and citrus hop and malt for an only 5.0% abv. brew. This one I rather enjoyed and is one I hope they brew more often.
