Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a deep golden color with a one finger head of white foam. The head fades almost instantly leaving just a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is big of an orange smell mixed with plenty of citrus hop smells as well as other notes of tropical fruits and some caramel. Along with these aromas comes some light notes of grass and hay.
Taste- The taste begins with a sweet fruity taste of orange and tropical fruits that is nicely balanced by some a big grapefruit hop. As the taste moves on the grapefruit grows stronger and stronger as the other sweeter flavors of the brew lighten up a bit. Some light grass and hay joint the very potent grapefruit taste at the end, leaving one with a heavily citrus hopped, but still crisp and easy drinking taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the thinner side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is slightly lower than the normal IPA. For the big citrus flavors and taste of the brew the feel is rather nice and creates a very easy drinking brew overall.
Overall – Very citrus heavy on this one, but quite nice. It dries out nicely as the taste profile moves from the start and ends up leaving one with a rather easy and flavorful taste to linger on the tongue.
