Picked this up at the Yellowstone General store in West Yellowstone, Montana when I was out that way a few months back. Never had anything from Outlaw before but this was right up my alley given where I was in America, and the number of buffalo that (nearly) ran into me. While this wasn't the best American Pale Ale that I had, it was fine to kick back with and wish for better days back on the road, as the cloudiness of winter lingers on for another day!
Golden, a bit cloudy, and topped off with plenty of head, this had a nice foam to it as that never fully let up. Bread, flowers, malt, and a hint of urine in the nose as the taste was quite light on the palate but just had enough body to it to hold my attention. Grass and lemon emerged as this warmed up with this beer having a spicy bread undertone to it that tied everything in together. This did get better as it warmed up but if you're looking for hops, this would certainly not be your brew.
Hard to believe that this had as much alcohol as it did, given that I never tasted it. The range of flavors was enough to obscure it, as this was just oddly dank in the aftertaste and almost left me wanting a chaser of water to fully get it down. Packaged on 6/8 of last year, this was fine to have once although there are better examples of the style readily available. However, I'd rather come across this again than a buffalo crossing in front of me during the night!

Poured from can into tulip, good 2 finger fluffy white head, good retention and lacing. Pale golden in the glass, crystal clear to look at. Smells of citrus (lemon almost), bready malt and bright. Taste is sweet malt up front, some orange notes, ripe pineapple and more malt forward than hops on this one, there is some lingering dankness in the middle and it has a crisp finish. Ok Beer, not something I would seek out.

Drinking this in Grand Island Nebraska.
Package date 06/08/21
Poured from a 16 ounce can into a pint glass.
Looks golden yellow with a nice white foamy head that dropped quickly to a thin ring.
Smells biscuity, malty, sweet, citrusy.
Taste follows the nose nicely, with a lot of malt on the front of my palate.
Mouth feel is medium plus for the style.
Overall pretty malty for a Pale Ale, I would love to try this on tap at the brewery.
Cheers!

16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left thick sheets of lace on the glass. It smelled of roasted caramel malt, toffee, fresh cut grass and some citrus. Sweet malty taste with caramel and toffee. Sharp bitterness.
