Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a super hazy yellow color with a billowy white head. The head has a good level of retention fading over time to leave lots of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is big of a tropical fruit smell that has within it grapefruit and papaya. Along with these smells comes some lighter fruit aromas of apricot and peach and a little bit of melon as well as a little bit of an oat smell. Rounding it all out is a little bit of pine and herbal hop as well creating a nice inviting aroma overall.
Taste – The taste begins with a mix of a bready and oat malt taste that is balanced by some fruit and hop. The hop tastes are of a grapefruit citrus while the fruit is of tangerine, peach, and pear. As the taste advances some other flavors of melon come to the tongue along with some hop tastes of pine and herb. These flavors take the taste to the end to leave one with a smooth but nicely hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the slightly more chewy side with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the mix of malt and hop the feel is great making for a very easy drinking and flavorful brew.
Overall- A very tasty and easy drinking brew with tons of nice hop. Tasty, easy drinking, and flavorful while at 6.6 % abv. Can be sorta dangerous actually….
