Had at the 3rd Anniversary Party.

Typical appearance

Nose typical too, earthy nutty coffee again, mild fudgey, little Peanutbutter cup, milk chocolate, little Peanutbutter,.

Taste brings typical double shot, earthy nutty fresh roasted coffee, mild roast, with mild milk chocolate, little cocoa dust, decent Peanutbutter but seems like mostly the nuttiness of the coffee, coffee is mild. Little sticky syrupy, choc syrup.

Mouth is med to heavier bod, decent carb.

Overall it was OK, the peanutbutter cups didn't seem to actually bring a whole lot, or at least it was drowned out by the original beer.

Enjoyed at the 3rd Anniversary Party at the brewery. Reviewed from notes.

A - Poured into the custom Tree House wine glass a dark brownish black hue with a thin mocha head that fades to leave light wisps.

S - Aromas of nice chocolate fudge, little bit of chocolate syrup, some faint roast. I'm getting next to no peanut butter cup though. A little flash of nuttiness every now and then, but for the most part it isn't to be found.

T - Taste is faint peanut butter, light chocolate, faint coffee. The peanut butter actually merges with the nuttiness of the base beer, basically becoming lost in the original stout.

M - Mouthfeel is creamy, lightly carbonated.

O - Overall there was lots of peanut butter promise, but, all in all it was rather subtle. As gimmicky as 'Cinnamon Rolls' were, at least that rendition delivered what it promised of the additional flavours. This one just didn't deliver.
