Style: American Imperial IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 8.00%

Availability: Limited (brewed once)

Notes / Commercial Description:
Family, summer, barbecues. . . Independence! We brewed Eighteen as the beer we wanted to be drinking this Fourth of July. She's dry, soft, citrusy, and supremely drinkable for such a big beer. We taste a melange of bright citrus paired with pungent hop bag saturation - a culmination of sorts between C15 & C16. We hope you're able to enjoy it with good company and in good cheer this fourth!

This beer is retired; no longer brewed.

classic treehouse haze and cant see through the beer.. it smells awesome... mouthfeel is epic.. not as dry hopped as i love in some of the other Curiosity series but still better than most other IPAs out there!

I have had a handful of the last bunch of curiosity series brews. This one was of the disappointing variety. Even at disappointing it was still better then most other IPA's out there. However it just seemed a little off to me in the flavor department (nose was there). Overall a ver ygood beer but not what I expected after having 13,14,15,16. . . and being completely blown away by them.

One of those beers that you have and you never forget the day you had it, who you were with, and how it made you feel. July 4, 2015 I was introduced to Curiosity #18 at a party in Monson, MA by the family of one of my wife's close friends/co-workers. The first sip was like listening to Beethoven's Ode to Joy with studio headphones. I would put this IPA up against any but probably not until I crush 3/4 of it before letting it out of my vise grip to be judged. Very easy on the palate despite the hoppiness - it did not wreck my palate. The generosity of our hosts and freshness of the beer made me feel like family - Great People and Great Beer equals a Great Time. If you can get your hands on any Tree House beer - DO IT. I promise you will not be disappointed.
