Our passion for biking, running and endurance sports at Tree House has become a common theme for our small batch names. Echelon in road biking terms refers to a rotating pace line formation of riders as they bike into a crosswind. With Echelon One we present the first in our rotating line of pale ales. We love pale ales for both their delicate hop nature and their drinkability. This installment highlights Citra and Galaxy hops - two hops near and dear to our hearts. Echelon pours a brilliant pale hazy yellow in the glass. We smell and taste beautiful notes of orange rind, pineapple, and tangerine. She’s delicate, soft and infinitely drinkable.

This beer surprised me. It was not aware this was going to be release when I went to treehouse until I got inside and boy am I glad I got this. Absolute juice bomb, tons of cantaloupe, honey dew, orange, mango, its just a haze juice bomb. I dont think I could have ever expected a low ABV APA to have this much hop aroma and flavor just an outstanding beer. Haze for days like all treehouse hoppy beers.

Had this twice. The first time I had it was the day I got the growler filled and then had the second growler I got a week later. The first time I tried it I was a little underwhelmed and just that it was a solid apa. But a week later it was a fricking juice bomb. Tons of melon, cantaloupe, honey dew holy God was this drink like a much bigger beer. I really enjoyed this beer.

Thanks to Cam for sharing this 750ml last night. Reviewed from notes.
A - Super hazy pale orange. White head retains as a thin+patchy cap and ring, some lace left behind.
S - Nice potent scent of orange, lemon, melon, mango, a decent kick of dirty dank earthiness here as well. Some bread/crackery malt.
T - A bit of a letdown compared to the scent with flavors feeling a bit thin. Citrus, melon and herbacious flavors with some sugar cookie and bready malt.
M - A bit heavier than expected for the ABV, but a nice feel with medium bitterness and medium-high carbonation. Smooth and drinkable.
O -A good pale, and if you're familiar with Tree House hoppy ales it's going to come off pretty, well, familiar. Nice beer for sure but nothing too outstanding about this one.

Thanks Dad for the 750ml growler holiday gift.
A- Medium modern PA cloudiness to the body from a 750ml to a snifter. Frothy white cap up to a finger falling to a thick bubbly ring. One large web of lacing.
S- The juice of the cones with a ton of nectar and fruity notes flying out of the glass. Melon, mango, tangerine, satsuma and cantaloupe packed in and strong with hints of dankness, citrus zest and herbs beyond the forefront.
T- Loses a bit of steam and seems a bit flatter or one dimensional with more of a bitter herbal, pine, clementine and citrus feel coming up front. Plenty of juice sticks around with the same aforementioned notes as the aroma. Hints of cereal grains, bread, cracker, spiciness and grassiness.
MF- Medium bodied or perhaps a touch to the light side with creamy and frothiness. Somewhat chewy with a moderately high carbonation. Herbal bitter finish.
A juicy pale ale that also packs in some pine, spicy and herbal notes from an obviously intense hop schedule. What can I say? Tree House has a way with hops. Also the more APAs the better.

L - orange and cloudy. Deep dark banana juice.
S - tropical orange up front, breaking into light coriander and bread, much like a wave.
T - bright notes of orange and peach up front. Light and fluttering. Sweet wheat in the back balanced by slight bitterness. Pineapple.
F - light and smooth. Very drinkable.
O - great pale ale. Doesn't beat forerunner for title of a Best Tree House APA, but comes close!

Delicious pale ale. Resembles a lighter Green with a touch more lingering bitterness; super smooth and creamy mouthfeel; perfect amount of dank/earthy notes to counterbalance the sweet tropical fruit sorbet of hops. Would drink this all the time if they were to brew it regularly!

750ml flip top growler 12/23/15 into a Grrrz teku. Shared with schen9303.
Pours a foamy, 1.5 finger powder white head with moderate retention. Beer is a cloudy grapefruit. Lacing is thick and layered with great stick. Enticing!
Nose is citrus, pineapple, clementine, mango and a dank papaya hop presence. Juicy and fantastic. What I'd expect from Tree House.
Opens pineapple, clementine and orange juice. Huge tropical fruit notes in the middle. Starfruit and mango. Sweet and bright with a nice, mellow balancing bitterness towards the end. Hop bitterness with citrus sweetness at the finish. Same, mildly hoppy aftertaste. Drinks with huge flavor!
Light bodied with moderate to ample carbonation. Smooth and quenching in the mouth and goes down dry and filmy. Finishes juicy with a filmy, sticky aftertaste. Excellent!
One of the best Pale Ales I've sampled hands down. Tree House keeps knocking it out of the park!
