Sampled From 2L growler fill
Look: Inky Black with a slight browner hue compared to other DS variants. The head was about a finger and a half of brown creamy bubbles.
Aroma: I'm splitting hairs but it's not my favorite of the DS. Black coffee, bittersweet chocolate, and roasted grain. Probably a 5 but I find it hard not to compare it to Burundi and Salvador my favorites.
Taste: Again splitting hairs as its not my favorite varietal, yet still a WC stout that is well balanced so it gets top marks. Roasted grain, caramel, dark coffee, and baker's chocolate are the stars in this one, A little sweet for my likes but still solid especially for thos that want dessert in a glass.
Feel: Full bodied stout that covers the palate with creamy goodness. This is the beer you want if you want a satisfying dessert style stout.
Overall: Even though it's not my favorite variant it still gets top marks as its probably one of the best stouts on the market that always bring an individual profile based on the bean used.
