Our curiosity continues with an intensely kettle and dry hopped single IPA featuring a combination of both classic and modern American hops. The base of Thirty features pale malt and a bit of crystal malt to produce a beautiful glowing orange color in the glass. We experience intriguing flavors and aromas of pineapple, pear, jackfruit, and juicy fruit gum balanced by a soft bitterness. Thirty is dry and thirst quenching with a fluffy mouthfeel. Originally conceived in 2013, the Curiosity Series is now a mature and important set of beers for us. While contemplating Thirty, it’s fun to look back on what has been in light of what is to come.

A: slightly darker for a treehouse than I am used to seeing.
S: aromas of berry, tropical fruits mango and passion fruit
T: Fresh tropical fruit, mango papaya and banana mixed with a light refreshing malt back. The color threw me off a little at first but was not malty as I had feared. Banana was Unexpected for an IPA, though have had it in Belgians, suspect yeast had a nice hand in this.
M: creamy and great carbonation
O: overall very happy to have had the opportunity to have tried this. It was different from most regular rotations and more Belgian notes picked up. Perhaps more on the eureka side
