Brewed for, and released at, the Tree House Brewing Company Sixth Anniversary Party.
We have seen the light and this is it. Waves of maple and rich milk chocolate wash over the palate and build in balance and intensity in the glass as it is allowed to warm. Though rich, fluffy, and decadent, this beer never weighs down the palate but punches above it’s alcohol weight in flavor. It’s the kind of beer that makes us smile uncontrollably when taking a sip.

On tap at Tree House in Charlton
And to close out my night, I’m getting the extra maple/chocolate truffle variant of one of my favorite TH Milk Stouts, Moment Of Clarity! This one seems to be doing some pretty serious numbers, sitting at #6 for the style as I write this. Let’s see if it really needa that extra punch to it
Pours completely pitch black with a finger of dark tan head that fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing
The maple is certainly focused in the nose here, but the extra kick of chocolate gives it a nice balance. I’m picking up on aromas of sweet maple, dark chocolate, black cherry, brown sugar, burnt caramel, medium roast coffee, vanilla, and light raisin
The maple stays rather restrained until the finish here, at which point it really pops. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting milk chocolate, light roast coffee, black cherry, molasses, maple syrup, toffee, brown bread, light vanilla, and a touch of caramel. The swallow brings notes of sweet maple, dark chocolate, black cherry, cocoa powder, medium roast coffee, brown sugar, sweet caramel, light vanilla, and brown bread
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes slightly sticky but dries out over time into something nice
Well it’s not as good as the OG, but I still really dig this one. Even for all the extra shit in there, it’s nicely balanced

Had on tap. Pours opaque, dark black in color with 1/2 inch head. Taste is huge maple and dark chocolate with white sugar. Heavy bodied, moderate carbonation, sweet. Makes for an excellent dessert stout. I will be looking for this again.

On draft at Tree House. Snifter glass. Dark black body, cola coloured one finger white head, good retention, has fair bit of splotchy sugary particles in it that hang around the glass rim, actually for quite a while. So, lots of sugary particles- promising. Beer is more or less big maple and creamy milk chocolate. Fudge, a bit of cocoa, smooth. A bit of earth as well, not particularly roasty. Sweet. Medium bodied, slightly low on carbonation, silky smooth and creamy milk chocolate, delicious sugary attenuation goodness. A nice dessert-like beer.
