Single Shot is a decadent yet balanced milk stout that we use as a base to impart bold and varied coffee flavors from hand selected beans on a varying basis. This particular batch was brewed with coffee beans from Brazil. It exhibits notes of dark chocolate, dark fruit, and toasted marshmallows - a unique and intriguing showcase of beans, for sure. Single Shot is exceptionally creamy on the palate while maintaining a lightness that leaves you wanting more⦠a true treat in the can paired with the embrace of a summer campfire. When kept cold at all times in the can it should be great until Autumn.

I've had this bad boy sitting in my fridge for almost two years. "Oh, I'll review it next week" so on and so forth for about 150 weeks! It's finally time...
L - pours motor oil brown with a layered, two-tone neapolitan ice cream (sans strawbs) head.
S - soft coffee and marshmallowy chocolate whipped cream. Iced latte and the blowtorched top of creme brulee.
T - much more roasty coffee acidity than expected. Usually Single Shot is decadent with coffee ice cream, but this has some pep. There's still that suffocating vanilla creaminess, like Fluff, but we've got some rindy roastiness and vague metallic twang to add contrast. Black pepper and baker's chocolate dryness to finish it off.
F - just like Fluff, sometimes it feels like you're choking this beer down because of how thicc it is. It's not syrupy, but it has a gooey center that flares up on the swallow to fill your throat with liquid cream. Jesus Christ.
O - Single Shot is one of those beers that has continued to vastly improve over the years, compared to its first iteration. It was chocolate milk at first, but evolved into something with the depth and expanse of flavor as Double Shot, but without the burnt roastiness or booze warmth. Gives it a creamy, marshmallowy feel that is satisfying and enjoyable to drink. This variant with added bean kick is no different. Great stuff.

Can to sniffer. Tree house/Kane stout tasting with DC.
Thick dark black. Healthy head, beige.
Lots of strong coffee. Coffee Aroma is awesome.
Taste is toasty malts, less coffee. Touches of blueberry, blackberry. Not as tasty as Abstraction.
Somewhat thin.
A lot of flavor for the lower abv.
