Notes:
For this rendition of Hold On To Sunshine, we added dark chocolate to balance the sweeter notes of the base beer. The result is much like a dark chocolate peanut butter cup. This beer is flavorful yet balanced, with authentic dark chocolate notes intermingling with a complex array of specialty malts in the base beer. Enjoy.

Rich, dark chocolate flavor tempers the peanut butter well. Smooth, rich, yummy.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery today.
A - Poured into a standard tulip a nice dark black hue with a thin mocha head that fades to leave light wisps and a thin halo.
S - Aromas of very nice dark chocolate, cocoa, milk chocolate, little bit of coffee, some espresso roast aroma. The peanut notes are huge though. Roasted peanuts, creamy peanut butter. Does have a nice peanut butter cup / peanut butter and chocolate fudge aroma. Really, really rich and decadent. The dark chocolate isn't over the top though.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with nice slightly sweeter dark chocolate truffles. Light espresso flavour, the peanuts are nice, however, the dark chocolate does over power them somewhat. Finish is some coffee bitterness. Definitely not as peanut heavy flavour wise as the regular version.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, creamy, almost silky. The peanuts provide great body.
O - Overall this was a very solid milk stout, however, the addition of dark chocolate overwhelms the peanuts somehow. Not nearly the peanut bomb regular Hold on to Sunshine is.
