For this rendition of Double Shot, we steeped pumpkin flesh and autumn spices in the finished beer to create an autumn inspired treat. The resulting beer conjures perceptions of fresh baked pumpkin pie and gingerbread cookies. The pumpkin and gingerbread character overwhelms the coffee, which leaves just a tiny but important impression on the palate. This is a fun treat, and one we look toward tinkering with in the future! Enjoy!

I love pumpkin beers, but this misses the mark for me. Tastes artificial, spices are overpowering. The nose was good, nice pumpkin spice smell. Mouthfeel was a little thinner than other Double Shots. Lacing was nice. Couldn't finish the pour.

L - creamy as can be. Faintly orange pumpkin pie-hued head (totally not biased) floating on a black body.

S - deep, penetrating holiday spice aroma. Allspice, nutmeg, pumpkin pie, and touches of booze. Really not much coffee or Double Shot at all!

T - okay, now the DS comes out. Sweet roast and pumpkin iced latte. Yammy undertones and hints of vanilla. Really nails the pumpkin pie in that it's not too sweet, but just decadent enough. Earthy and autumnal.

F - again... something about TH beers on tap. Luxuriously creamy and viscous feel. Spectacular.

O - I gotta say, maybe a little too heavy on the pumpkin! The nose is way overboard which somehow makes the flavor feel underwhelming. The pumpkin fights with the coffee and neither win. Well, I guess maybe I win because this is fun to drink if you don't take it too seriously.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery today.

A - Poured into a standard tulip a nice dark brown almost black with a nice almost two finger mocha head that fades to leave light lacing and a creamy blanket. Excellent legs.

S - Aromas of bakers chocolate, light light coffee, roasted vegetative gourd, little bit of "winter warmer" type spices.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with nice coffee and chocolate, dark and rich. The spice note is a bit distracting, more of the "winter warmer" flavour. The pumpkin is a pleasant roasted flavour that works nicely with the chocolate. The spices overpower this pretty hard.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, super creamy, alcohol non-existent. Like velour.

O - Overall this was a somewhat disappointing variant. I think the spice note wound up overpowering the pumpkin as well as the chocolate here. Coffee is pleasant. Was hoping to get batch 1 Cape Ann pumpkin stout level awesomeness but unfortunately it does not live up to that bar. Would be nice to see Nate dial this in.

Smooth, creamy mouthfeel with a ting of spice and yum. Pumpkin is subtle...and not. If they didn't say it was a pumpkin varient, I would immediately identify it as a pumpkin beer, but there's a robust, autumnal flavor and presence that I attribute to the pumpkin. Super delicious.
