Curiosity Sixty One finds us experimenting with a limited experimental hop variety, X06297™. X06297™ has a highly distinctive, intoxicating aroma during sensory analysis of sweet orange, vanilla, pluots, peaches, and tropical fruit. Utilizing a simple malt bill of 2-row barley and wheat, we aimed to extract the most from this hop we possibly could, with heavy kettle and dry hop additions to a simple base. The result is intriguing and delicious! Many of the sensory aromas translate to the finished beer, with notes of stone fruit, plum, papaya, and citrus dominating the palate. This is a more elegant flavor profile, setting aside the ‘in your face’ presentation of many modern American hops, but is absolutely as delicious and intriguing. And dangerously easy to drink. What a delightful hop! The mouthfeel on Sixty One is gentle, buoyed by soft carbonation and a sturdy malt base. Enjoy!

16 oz. can. Hazy orange. Smells of bright citrus and melons. A little booze. Tastes of equal parts citrus and melon sweetness. Zesty citrus bitterness and alcohol in the back end. A little sweet. Medium body. Pretty easy drinking for its size.
