Enjoyed on tap at the brewery today.
A - Poured a nice dark brown almost black hue with a one finger mocha head that fades to leave nice lacing and a creamy blanket.
S - Big aromas of chocolate covered bananas. Not overly sweet smelling but still a constant banana puree aroma with a little bit of coffee and roasted malts as well.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of sweeter banana flavour. Super ripe bananas and dark fudgy chocolate. Like a chocolate banana bread. Nice roasted malts. Flashes of coffee, light nuttiness, just faint bitter coffee roast on the finish along with dark chocolate.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, good rich body thanks to the banana. It almost feels boozy though even though it isn't.
O - Overall this was a very solid coffee stout. Lovely chocolateand coffee with the banana never getting overly sweet and aggressive. Well balanced, nicely done.
