PunchPunch
Notes: Punch is an American IPA brewed with a copious amount of oats and all Galaxy hops paired with our distinctive house yeast. It is brewed to convey expressive hop flavors in a way that is juicy and refreshing to your palate, without overdone or abrasive flavors. We taste and smell ripe pineapple, intense citrus, passion fruit, and lemon-lime. Punch strikes the perfect balance between body, hop saturation, and drinkability to be an ideal beer in any situation. Love at first sip. Enjoy.

Probably one of my least favorite TH beers.
That’s kind of a funny statement because it’s still good.
Missing that classic TH yeast taste. Pours a little thin and it’s all galaxy. So maybe not as balanced.
Nice dry finish and good carb.

Fantastic New England style IPA from the amazing Tree House. 7/7/20 printed on can. Just a wonderful hazy, juicy, soft IPA that is exactly what this brewery is known for. Pours a hazy yellow color with lots of fluffy white head and glorious sticky sheets of lingering lacing that persisted throughout. Huge aromas of pineapple, bitter grapefruit, lemon, orange, mango and papaya. Also some creamy vanilla, bread, malt, lighter floral and herbal hops. Taste follows the nose, extremely well balanced and juicy. Great flavor and depth. Smooth, sticky, nice soft mouthfeel with just the perfect amount of carbonation. Another winner from Tree House!

Pours a milky pale orange in color with a finger of white head. Aroma is tropical and citrusy, very inviting. Taste of lots of lime upfront, pineapple, and peach; very smooth. Medium bodied and moderately carbonated. Overall a very tasty display of Galaxy hops. I find this beer leans more towards pineapple when super fresh and adds lime and stonefruit notes as it gets some more time on it.

This was a great IPA. Filled with rich citrusy flavors with a crisp dry finish. Smelt like ripe tropical fruit salad. This has a murky yellow color and has a nice easy mouthfeel with a powerful tropical aftertaste. Not too carbonated, this reminds me of a tropical brut IPA.

No date on can, embossed 27 on bottom. Poured 3/17/20 in a 16oz Willi. The second I cracked it open, citrus and ripe fruit wafted in the air. Expressive smell of an array of tropical fruit. Saturated in galaxy and a loud presence of passion fruit, rind and stone hits the mouth. Smooth, a little creamy and good back hop bittering. Refreshing is a perfect word for this beer. Reminds me of BBBrighttt w/ citra with less creamsicle and little more hop bittering and stone fruit flavor.

Great warm-weather beer. A little thinner of a mouthfeel than some comparative beers, but really bright fruity flavors, especially mango, pineapple, and citrus. Nice yellow-orange hazy color, and mouth-watering smell. Nice level of carbonation, and taste lingers well after you've swallowed, in a good way. Yum!

Pours nice straw hazy color.
Smells of tropical fruits (like mango, guava, passion fruit, pineapple).
Unique bright tropical flavor, with almost a fruity ice tea flavor?. Enjoyable.
Clean, crisp, thin mouthfeel.
Overall - an enjoyable unique brew. Refreshing change of pace compared to typical TH IPAs. Delicious! (But not world-class in my opinion).

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on December 24, 2019. American IPA brewed with oats and Australian Galaxy hops. Juicy and refreshing with notes of ripe pineapple, juicy citrus, peach, lime and passion fruit.

Typical great IPA from TH but they are all so similar. TH please work on your Julius, Haze and Green recipes. The Charlton move has really messed with those offerings!

Just did a review of a Galaxy hopped oat lager, only fitting to do one of a Galaxy hopped oat ale. This was the better of the two.

Pours the common cloudy TH yellow with 3/4" white head into a 1994 Marquette pint glass (100th anniversary). Mostly pineapple and that lemon lime like a neomexicanus meets Galaxy hop vibe.

Taste is good stuff. Even their double ipas are super crushable despite the abv, so when they make a single its usually just as if not even better in terms of crushability. The body is milky and sawft like a flaked oat beer will be. Managed to keep the carbonation in the average range, sometimes these new england ipas come in on the low side but not here. All the bitter and juicy bubblegum notes are close enough to each other to not go one without the other.

This one also held up pretty well. Bought 2 cans, drank one that week, drank the other 2.5 months later, still a banger. Sure they make a bunch of similar beers, but at least they're all good.

EDIT: Man had to upgrade from 3.75/4.25/4.25/4/4 (the old score) this beer had good staying power.

16oz can dated 12/3/19.

Pours cloudy yellow with an inch of white fluff. Plenty of tattered lacework with nice retention. White grape, peach, pineapple, and candied tangerine in the nose. Medium bodied with a creamy, soft mouthfeel. Candied grapes with peach, pineapple and orange on the palate. Finishes very juicy and dry with lingering tropicals.

16oz can, dated 12.03.19, poured into a Tree House snifter glass.

The beer pours a bright golden color, super hazy and cloudy with a foamy white head, about a finger tall with good retention and lacing. The aroma is pleasant, super juicy peach and mango with some melon and citrus as well, lightly floral, pale grain, sweet yeast and mineral water. The flavors are nice, quite juicy with lots of peach, mango and citrus, underlying melon, bitter pine and dank green hop leaf, sweet yeast and pale dough with mineral water linger. The mouthfeel is good, coating and creamy, smooth medium body with an easy finish that has a nice crispness and a dry bite.

Verdict: A good NEIPA from Tree House. The juiciness of this is very enjoyable and there is a nice bitterness that doesn't let it get too sweet and keeps things in balance.

16 ouncer direct from the source...packaged 12-3-19, so about 1 month in the can.

Classic TH NEIPA juicy/hazy pour.

Ripe tropical fruit on the nose.

Delicious creation with soft and well balanced notes of ripe pineapple, mango and lime, combining with an earthy quality that lifts the intrigue, complexity and enjoyment of this nectar. Dont pass this one up when you see it available...

Looks like OJ, smells like passion fruit. But beat part is this isn’t a total juice Bomb. I get a hoppy balance which is amazing. This is a very complex drink that blends earthy and tropical perfectly. I think this is ACTUALLY underrated. Really well done.

16oz can poured into a globe.

A: Dull golden color with opaque haze. Bone white head retains well and leaves behind thick webs of lacing.

S: Starfruit, pineapple, guava, peach, lemon pith with sugar. Maybe even some strawberry. Green and leafy undertones. Grain base is doughy and oaty with suggestions of confectioners sugar.

T: Peach and orange up front. White grapefruit and lemon zest. Tropical notes of guava and melon. Strawberry juice. Eventually a big pull of green, leafy and earthy hop tones pull through and begin to dominate the back end. Moderate bitterness. Doughy and starchy undertones with a dash of confectioners sugar. Finishes with green and leafy hops and some trailing citrus rind.

M: Medium bodied, soft and creamy. Plenty of grippy astringency. Well carbonated with a lot of scrubbing action.

O: This beer toes a fine line and might just go over it a little. It is possible to use too much hops. There’s a really nice tropical character going on here, but also a lot of astringency and earthiness. It hinders drinkability a little, but not enough to derail the experience. It’s still well worth a drink if you like the style.

16 oz. can. Pours a murky orange. Smells of tropical fruit, peach, and some light passion fruit. Tastes about as smooth and creamy as any IPA I've had. Orange, papaya, and a passion fruit zip. Creamy oat profile without being too sweet. Low bitterness, but a lingering acidic fruity hop flavor helps. Medium body and extremely creamy. Very drinkable and very flavorful. Impressive.

16oz. can into Night Shift stemware. Shared with schen9303.

A pretty good-looking beer considering the style. Nice frothy head with great retention. Nose is citrus, mango and tree resin. Extremely aromatic with a bouquet of tropical flavors. Beer opens citrus, mango, starfruit and cane sugar. Creamy with notes of vanilla and lactose almost. A touch of bittering hops right at the middle gives me some grassiness too. Finishes sweet. Honey and clementine. There's a nice balance here. Body is light to medium with moderate to low carbonation. Smooth and soft on the palate and goes down fluffy. Lingering, bone dry finish. The feel is excellent.

A really good beer and the addition of oats here makes the feel unreal!

Acqired 9/25/19 at the brewery. Caned 9/20. Garish but distinctive double helix can art. Poured from the 16 oz. can into a Tree House stemmed tulip.

a: Opaque yellow/orange with an inch thick white head which receded to thin surface foam ad dense lacing.

s: Pretty intense citrus leaning to orange rind and tangerine.

t: Mainly tropical fruit combo with a moderate hop bite over a substantial malt base. Dry finish with slight lingering bitterness.

m; Medium plus, great body and lots of carbonation tingle.

o: For most breweries this could pass as their top of the line NEIPA. Tree House has so many of them. Galaxy hops and oats work well here to give an exceptional NEIPA drinking experience.

Pours super hazy, caution light yellow in color with one quarter inch head. Taste is starfruit, lemon, and herbal tea. Light bodied, slightly bitter, with moderate carbonation. A rare miss from them. I usually like galaxy based ipas but this one kind of just sits there, no zing, which is odd given the name. Will pass on this in the future.

16oz. can served in a willibecker. Canned 9/20/19 - Daylight Licked Me Into Shape I Must Have Been Asleep For Days (wonder if this is an homage to The Cure or Dinosaur Jr.) printed on the base of the can. Pours a dull, milky orange with a hazy clarity and a fluffy, half inch, cream-colored head. Head disperses into a soapy band around the shoulders and across the surface. Some swaths of lacing present with decent adhesion. Nose expresses citrus, pith and hints of mango. Taste consistent with nose, with a pleasant melon character the rounds out the back. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with an assertive carbonation that leaves a light, residual prickle on the tongue between quaffs. Overall, I really dig this beer - flavors come together nicely.
