Near black color with only the brightest light passing through the extreme edge of the glass. Darker beige head that settles quickly to rim bubbles. That said, it still leaves plenty of spots throughout the tasting.
Surprisingly rich chocolate pudding aroma with a solid dose of black coffee. Complex.
Rich, nearly to the point of oily. The lower carbonation completes the mouthfeel—think chocolate milk. This is similar to a chocolate liqueur but with cream. The coffee is more subdued here than the smell. The finish is warming and long lasting.

Had on tap. Pours opaque, dark brown in color with one third inch head. Taste is deep roasted coffee, dark chocolate and light maple. Heavy bodied, sweet, rich, roasty, moderate carbonation. Makes for a nice and decadent dessert beer. Would get again.
