It seems like magic when cans roll out of the big garage door at Tree House and into your loving embrace, but behind the scenes it takes a village of folks who contribute in a myriad of ways. In the midst of a challenging time when we’re wearing masks and not feeling particularly great in light of a year filled with challenges and uncertainty - a year where we cannot operate or live our lives as we had imagined - we thought it would be uplifting to pull back the curtain and welcome you into our world in an original way.

Crew Beer featured, at random, unique on-the-move portraits of over one hundred Tree House staff in the midst of the day-to-day grind of churning out the best beer, coffee, and agrarian products that we possibly can. It is hard work, but following a stifling period of adjustment we found our footing and are now putting out a higher quality, greater variety of beverages than at any time in our history.

A thick and fruity pale ale with a very subtle bitterness and an enjoyable mouthfeel. Not a whole lot of complexity but this is a beer that can be easily combined with a meal or a light snack. Very approachable.

16oz can received through the courtesy (or perhaps madness) of Roguer, and his approximately 500oz of mostly canned beer. If this person is your sender in a BIF, buy a hand truck if you don't have one already, and maybe insure it just to be on the safe side. According to the stamp on the bottom, it was canned on October 13, 2022, so it's pretty fresh.

Poured into a Tree House snifter, also courtesy of Roguer, this was a cloudy, slightly milky looking tangerine-yellow color, with a big, creamy, off-white head. All kinds of sticky lace.

Hoppy aroma that reminds the tired workers at my olfactory of tropical fruits. I get mango, papaya, a little pineapple, along with some melon-like scents.

A little more sweetly citrusy in the flavor than in the nose, although there's tropical fruit notes as well. More malty than I would have expected from the nose, in a crackery sort of way.

Creamier mouth feel than I expected. Oats?

Sometimes treehouse gives you the info as to what sort of hops and malts are used, but not this one. Brewed in honor of their own employees, the blurb on the can is entirely devoted to that. No word as to what was used or intended with this beer. Not sure if lactose or oats were used to give it the creamy body, but I'm not going to worry about that, and instead enjoy the fact that it's a really flavorful hazy pale ale that I could drink a lot of, if given the opportunity.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Tree House in Sandwich for about fourteen dollars. My one hundred and ninety sixth brew from these guys. Another very good LAB from TH. Love the can art.

From a 16oz can, dated 10/07/20... wait. What? Really? Anyway, served in a cervoise.

Pours a heavily hazy, milky pale orange with two fingers of soft suds. Retention is pretty good, leaving a thick webbery of sticky lacing.

Nose is muted. Something vaguely malty and citrusy, I suppose.

Taste is orange rinds, soda crackers and seltzer. Earthy-sharp and well balanced. Bergamot and grapefruit with some lemon-and-baking-soda-type bitterness.

Feel is crisp and quenching, drying, medium-chalky bodied with brisk, almost aggressive carbonation.

Overall, a satisfying, crackery pale ale, dry and seltzer-like.
