Curiosity One Hundred Four features a rare diversion for us into the unknown realm of untried yeast strains. Having carefully developed our House character over the years, we often feel vulnerable venturing off into uncharted territory but here it worked out quite well! One Hundred Four has intense tropical tones and a velvety body that is different but somehow familiar.
The beer carries more residual sweetness than we are accustomed to, helping to buoy the intense flavors of zesty mango, potent citrus, summer melon, and ripe pineapple. Tree House, with a twist. A rare 60 BBL Curiosity batch, it will be here and gone faster than is typical. Enjoy!

A: Pours a golden yellow color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a decent cap that leaves good lacing
S: Tropical fruit, bubblegum, citrus, and melon up front with a touch of earthy spice
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with a mix of tropical fruit, citrus, and bubblegum and then picks up some super light spicy floral tones. Melon also come through. Very lightly bitter. Finishes with lingering tropical fruit
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation
O: A very good part of the curiosity series that definitely paid off using a different yeast strain. Super tropical and drinkable. Definitely worth checking out for the short while it’s around

16 oz can into a Teku glass.
Pours an opaque burnt orange color with a finger of sudsy white head. Solid retention. Good, sticky lacing. Settles into a thin sheet. Good looking NEIPA.
The aroma is mostly tropical, and if Mosaic isn't the star hop here then my palate is done. Lots of pineapple, mixed berries and fresh mangoes. Just a hint of citrus. Solid aroma.
The flavor follows the nose: Pineapples, mangoes, and blueberries lead the way followed by a subtle wave of grapefruit. Straightforward but good.
The feel is medium bodied with low carbonation. Soft and creamy with some mild alcohol presence.
Overall, this is a solid NEIPA. It's tropical with a hint of citrus, but the malt character is nearly non-existent. Not bad but don't bother seeking this out.
