Unity is an American Pale Ale brewed with our House yeast and Nelson Sauvin hops sourced from New Zealand.

Unity pours a beautiful semi-opaque yellow color in the glass and puts forth aromas of citrus, tropical fruit, and gooseberries. The flavor follows suit, leaning more into the white wine, passion fruit, and clementine notes of Nelson and finishes with an appropriate, balancing bitterness. The head is rocky and sticks around, making it as visually appealing as the flavor itself.
Unity finds itself right at the center of what we enjoy here at Tree House, and what we work so tirelessly to share with you: a refined, elegant, eminently drinkable beer made with character and finesse. We feel proud of the care and attention to detail that went into Unity and believe you will enjoy it as much as we do.

The beautiful, colorful, and mood-inducing imagery that graces the can was illustrated by our resident artist and designer, John Gilman. It features the Wanaka Tree.

This one pours a slightly hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like orange, clementine, melon, dry white wine, and pine.

I wish Tree House did more pale ales, especially with hops like Nelson. This is really solid little beer, with a lot of the classic Nelson characteristics that we all know and love. It’s exotic and juicy, with clementine and white grape, and some more typical grapefruit and melon, with a pleasantly soft piney bitterness.

This is lighter bodied, clean, crisp, and extremely drinkable.

This hit the spot, I should have bought more of it.

Tree House Brewing Co. "Unity"
16 fl. oz. can coded "SHIRE !!! BAGGINS!!!! 4.16.2025". Sampled on 5.22.2025
$108.70/24-pk mixed case "The Machines Are Taking Over!" at the brewery on May 15, 2025

Notes via stream of consciousness: Finally, an American pale ale! No one seems to make these anymore. It's 5.3% ABV and brewed with 100% Nelson Sauvin hops. The body is a very hazy dep golden beneath a rocky head of white foam. The aroma suggests fruit, hop resins, and bready malt. The taste follows suit delivering gooseberry, white grape, passionfruit, sweet red berries, soft herbs, hops resins, and an edge of spiciness. A median bitterness balances it and it finishes fruity, lightly acidic, lightly earthy, and smoothly bitter. In the mouth it's medium bodied and crisp. The head retention and lacing are both very good, and it would be hard to argue against this beer. The choice of hops is interesting, and it has a really refreshing quality to it. Nicely done.

From a 16oz can dated 11/15/23 into a tulip.

Pours an opaque yellowish orange with about one finger of white head. Really good retention and excellent lacing.

Crack of the can doesn't yield a ton of aroma which is odd for a Tree house beer. Pour and some sitting lets loose some nice white wine, citrus and earth.

Taste follows the nose but not as strong. White grapes/wine, some citrus and nice light earthy bitterness.

Soft, medium to full-bodied mouth feel. Medium carbonation. Light bitter aftertaste.

Really, really solidly made pale ale.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Tree House in Sandwich for about thirteen dollars. My three hundred and thirty fourth brew from these guys. Canned on date of 11/16/13. Just ok for me.

Opaque yellow pour with thick head that stays around. Mix of tropical fruit on the nose, along with notes of gooseberry/white wine from the Nelson. The Nelson character is stronger in the taste, which finishes slightly dry with hints of citrus peel bitterness.

Treehouse is justly famous for its IPAs, but their lower ABV Pales are just as well made.

Had on tap at Sandwich. Pours bright gold in color, murky with one quarter inch head. Taste is dank hops and grapefruit must. Light body, moderate carbonation, slightly bitter. An average pale ale. Not bad but no Regrets not finishing.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a very hazy yellow amber color with a big head of just off-white foam. The head has a great level of retention, fading over time and leaving a good sum of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a lychee, white grape, and peach smell mixed with some bready and yeasty aromas as well as some nice herbal and earthy hop. Along with these smells comes notes of pepper and spice as well as a bit of a floral hop smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready malt flavor mixed with some of the lychee and peach that were in the nose. At the same time there is a nice showing of an earthy hop mixed with a bit of grapefruit and floral hop as well. As the taste advances the herbal and earthy flavors get stronger, all while the fruit fades. At the same time the hop gets more raw in nature, all while some light grain and hay come to the tongue. With all the transitions throughout, one is left with a quite pleasant and moderately dank hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thick and chewy for a 5.3 % abv brew with a carbonation level that is moderate. For the tastes and the style the feel is good and makes for a very easy sipper.
Overall – A rather flavorful and raw/fresh hopped pale ale. Very well done!
