Utilizing our transformative Juice Project approach, Juice Project Citra + Bru-1 showcases this new-age hop pairing in an exciting and delicious new way.
Featuring the most substantial dry hop of any Tree House beer to date, the overall hop volume is actually reduced in comparison to beers of similar stature. The result is staggeringly juicy with minimal bitterness and insane notes of ripe pineapple, fresh pineapple juice, orange banana, and Dole fruit cup. It’s another ripper in an incredible lineup!

L - pours a lightly yellow, cloudy haze that looks like pineapple juice. Jiggly white head that does a great job holding its surface tension. Testament to the lacing too.
S - zesty grains and oniony dank. Some pithy orange freshness shines through with a splash of melon/bubblegum. Maybe some pineapple zip to finish it off.
T - punchy and peppery. Surprisingly bitter with a huge herbal hoppiness that mellows slightly into green citrus. Underripe peach, hint of pear, and grapefruit peel twang. Crisp and lively. Finishes with mouth-numbing bitterness. Guessing there are dry hops in here. *checks can* Oh, look at that: "most substantial dry hop of any Tree House beer to date".
F - restrained for 8.4%. A little thin (by TH standards), but as pillowy and soft as ever. Tree House beers are always a step above the rest simply due to mouthfeel.
O - not so sure "Juice Project" is the best name for this series... more like "Hop Project" or "Bitter Project". The extra dry hopping here leads to a much bolder, zestier, poppier flavor profile. Tangy and citrusy. Intense, but a hair unbalanced.

Juice Project Citra + Bru-1
Treehouse Brewing

The beer is five months old; it has been in a dark fridge since I received this beer. The pour of the beer created a massive three-finger head with excellent retention. A foamy and creamy head is bright white and dissipated slowly, leaving lacing on the glass. The color is pale straw with light golden hues charting around SRM 3. This beer is hazy. Overall the beer presents well.
The aromas in the beer are biscuits, oranges, pineapple, a subtle hint of floral, and pine resins. The beer has a slight dankness with fresh-cut grass. The beer still smells fresh, with no cardboard or age aromas. I am stoked to drink it.
The flavors are biscuit, lightly toasted malts, oranges, pineapple, a subtle hint of floral, passion fruit, a pinch of resin, dewy morning, a touch of dank, and a slight herbal note.
The mouthfeel of the beer is carbonated, slightly astringent, and tannic.
The body of the beer is medium-plus, medium-plus carbonation, and medium finish.
The beer is awesome. Wonderful flavors beaming with sunshine. I enjoyed this beer.

Pours opaque orange color with a whipped foamy beige colored head that faded very slowly and left outstanding lacing coating the glass. The head was so thick I ran my finger through it as it was dissipating, and it left a canyon as it continued to fade ever so slowly.
Smells of tangerine, grapefruit, orange juice, pineapple, melon, lemon zest, mango, biscuit, faint grassy notes and more tropical fruit. Dare I say it’s almost not well balanced since the malty aspects are minimized, but it smells so good that I like it just as it is.
Tastes exactly like it smells with the additions of orange peel, graham cracker, Orangina soda, grapefruit juice, tea leaf and light peppery spices. The flavor is perfectly balanced with the citrus and grainy notes in harmony, then the medium level of bitterness allows it to go down easy while the dry hops come out with tea leaf, herbs and hints of weed as it fades off dry. Another tasty TH brew.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Tree House Brewery in Charlton last week for about twenty one dollars. My one hundred and forty seventh brew from these guys. This is very good.
