The imaginative exploration of base malts continues with this batch of Curiosity One Hundred Ten! Featuring all Pilsner malt and nothing else, we tried to keep the underlying character of this batch as squeaky clean as possible to highlight the vibrant fresh hop character imparted during the brewing process.
It pours a beautiful glowing yellow color in the glass and gives off notes of peach nectar, mango jelly, zesty grapefruit, and orange creamsicle. Pack the cooler, stuff the van, and hit the road - who knows what lies ahead?

L - pours a light grey/green/yellow/orange haze. Milky toward the edges of the glass with a big-bubbled head about two fingers high. Triggers a bit of that innate trypophobia in everybody.
S - fresh-squeezed pineapple juice and green hops. Crisp, light OJ aromatics with a hint of lime juice.
T - lime-heavy in the mouth. Drenched with dry hops, adding dryness and herbal qualities. Fresh, pink grapefruit. Clean and mouth-watering. The pilsner base makes itself quite obvious and blends well with the hops. Strips out a bit of juiciness, but leaves behind a balanced, invigorating character.
F - silky creaminess. Feels loaded with hops and yeast. Feels like it should burn, but it doesn't in the slightest. Great texture.
O - getting OH vibes with the lime and vegetal nature. Refreshing and far too easy to drink at 8.2%. This isn't the juiciest juice bomb that TH makes... not by a long shot... but it's a well-rounded crispy boi with enough hop heft to keep you satisfied.

Pours a very hazy straw color with a beautiful white head. The can references a pilsner malt bill only, which is reflected in the color. The nose is dominated by orange and mango aromas.
The orange and mango flavors are forward on the taste, and are truly delicious, with balance provided by the bready flavor from the pilsner malt. What a delicious beer this is.

An IPA ready for the warm weather. The can settles to a pale yellow color. The smell is tight and not too open until the first sip which seems to quickly exhume grapefruit mixed with hints of mango. The feel is different and this may be the pilsner hops since it goes down more like a lager than a fluffy IPA. Overall a good beer and crushable on a hot day.

I was unsure if I was going to like this beer. A pilsner malt IPA? If it didn’t come in a pre-made case, I would have passed.
But this IPA is surprisingly great. You know it’s a Pilsner with its crisp and clean taste. But you also have all of the fruit flavors that Tree House is known for.
My best analogy is that it’s like looking in a mirror. You know that the backing of the glass is silver. But you don’t know why. All you see is the image of the reflection, how do you know the back is silver?
This is what the experience was like to me.
