One to two fingers of cream white foam, agitated surface, about average retention, splotchy lacing. Fairly bright yellow liquid, opaque, unblemished. The nose drips with honeydew melon, supplemented by kiwi, peach and a dollop of mango, has a round and plush texture in the nostrils, notes of green tea and a pale grassiness next, not deriving much of a citrus presence. Medium-bodied, fluffy carbonation contributes to an equally expansive mouth feel, pushes out against your cheeks. Interesting in that it starts out wet but noticeably turns drier by the finish. Here there's an underlying soft bitterness that adds contract but likewise shortens the length of the melon, peach, apricot fruit. Uncracked peppercorns, pie dough, lavender with the dankness backend loaded for a final twist at the end. While defying capture it's a fairly complex brew. Yet I can't seem to warm to it. Don't have much (if any) experience with Barbe Rouge so can't definitively finger that as the culprit. (Canned 12/29/21)

Canned 10/19/21. “Come get the juice” stamped on the bottom of the can

The OG Juice Project is one of my favorite beers from Tree House, but I haven’t tried the base Jjjuice yet. On top of that, this one has a hop variant, an interesting one at that. I’ve only had a few Barbe Rouge hopped beers, and they’ve all had an odd strawberry vibe that I kinda dig. Hopefully we find that in this one as well

Pours a hazy pale gold with 3 fingers of dense white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing

This one seems to lean more into the citrusy side of things instead of their typical sweeter stone fruit vibe. I’m picking up on aromas of juicy tangerine, weedy hops, bready malt, lemon rind, papaya, orange juice, and light pepper

This bright citrus carries over into the taste, but has a more interesting sweetness fading into herbalness to counter it. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting bright tangerine, orange zest, peppery hops, juicy mango, doughy malt, and lemon rind. The swallow brings notes of doughy malt, overripe cantaloupe, herbal hops, orange zest, juicy tangerine, and white pepper

A medium body pairs with gentle airy carbonation, resulting in a super silky beer. Finishes a bit sticky but gets increasingly dry

This one is good, but I think it’s weighed down by the sticky finish, since their IPAs typically finish dry to off dry. Oh well

Excellent head production, retention, and lacing. Hazy, opaque, cloudy, pulpy body, roughly the shade of mango flesh.

Extremely juicy nose, leaning heavily on tropical fruit notes. Mild dankness and slight green herbal character to the hops. Just a hint of orange and cream. Mango, melon, and papaya.

If it's at all possible, this beer is somehow even juicier on the palate. Mango and melon explosion, buoyed by a sweet doughy malt base. Just a hint of green herbs to round out the profile, along with pineapple and grapefruit. Creamy sweetness; low to moderate bitterness, with more bitterness on the back third as the sweetness fades, leaving more herbs and a bit of citrus peel.

Creamy, soft, full bodied.
