Queen Machine - Citra is the third entry in our series exploring concentrated lupulin pellets! During sensory analysis, we found these hops to be incredibly expressive with true to type character and no vegetal or overly abrasive notes whatsoever. The beer pours a beautiful hazy yellow color in the glass and expresses concentrated notes of orange pureƩ, sweetened mango, sunny melon, and fruit punch. Queen Machine - Citra is an insanely delicious beverage, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

16oz can dated 7/30/21.

Pours cloudy yellow with an inch of white foam. Retention is decent with moderate lacing. Candied peach and orange in the nose. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Orange and peach on the palate with minimal malt or bitterness. Finishes juicy and tropical.

Shared can at regional tasting. Opaque yellow colour, white head. Pleasant aroma and flavour of citrussy, spicy and piney hops. Would happily buy again.

Full two finger head, cream white, surface pocked by a multitude of larger bubbles, average to just below retention, thick and soapy lacing. Full apricot puree looking liquid, able to see a few trace bubbles rise against the glass. Citrusy nose with notes of pepper and pretzel, offers a dry, lean and focused dankness, vague florality remains in the background. Medium-bodied, fills out more at the end. Creamy but quite dry mouth texture, nothing really notable about the carbonation. Blood orange, lemon citrus bolstered by something like a mineral water edge. Here pine needles swap in for any florality, the fruit more pronounced than in the nose, featuring apricot, pear, melon flavors. Monochrome as might be expected from a single hops brew, biggest drawback is that weak finish. After you swallow it's gone and for good.
