Following primary fermentation, this carefully managed batch of Trail received a judicious dose of Nelson Sauvin hops, a unique variety of hop developed and grown in New Zealand.
This treatment elevates the flavor profile, presenting with notes of grassy citrus, crisp white wine, and dank berries atop a zippy and completely crushable base beer.
Refined and dutifully executed, Trail - Nelson is certain to quench your thirst!

This is the Spring 2026 canning (posted 3/13/26 on the TH IG page). Poured from a 12 oz can into a Krosno Direction pilsner glass.
Golden yellow color with a slight haze, an inch and a half of white head with good retention. Rings and sheets of lacing are left during drinking.
Aromas of lemon and grassy hop notes along with white grape. Very fresh smelling.
Flavors of lemon, white grape, grassy hops, citrus zest and a mild bready note. Mild to medium bitterness, mild at first then builds in the finish.
Medium body, although it seems light on the palate which adds to the drinkability. Flavors remain for a while for a pleasant aftertaste.
An outstanding pilsner, with Nelson hops adding more fruity notes to an already solid beer.

Had on tap at Sandwich. Pours clear, gold in color with one inchhead. Smells like fresh hops. Taste is bready with earthy, peppery hops. Great pilsner.

Picked-up a six pack of cans at Tree House in Sandwich for about fourteen dollars. My 258th brew from these guys. Nice LAB.

Tree House Brewing Co. "Trail - Nelson"
12 fl. oz. can coded "FAVORITE TRAIL AT TREEHOUSE? 03/31/22 08:44:03". Sampled on 05/17/22.
$16.80/6-pk at the brewery on 05/12/22
Notes via stream of consciousness: This is an "Oak-Conditioned German Pils" that's been dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin. It's poured a slightly hazy golden colored body beneath a full head of rocky white foam. Hundreds of tiny bubbles can be seen racing upwards to take their place in supporting the head. The aroma displays sweetish, grainy, and grassy Pilsner malt alongside floral, herbal, and lightly fruity and spicy hops. The flavor is fuller as usual, and delivers everything found in the aroma along with some gooseberry, white grape, passionfruit, light resin, and distant citrus. There's only a touch of oak to it, which is fine as too much would throw it off balance. A firm bitterness and some oaky dryness balances it and it finishes mainly dry, floral, and gently fruity. In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp-then-smooth. The head held up quite well and there's plenty of lacing all about the glass. All in all this is a very well-done Pilsner that has a mild but unique twist.
