Fairly see through, light brown color with an off white to tan head. In the light it has a reddish hue. Nose is caramel or bready. Taste is slightly metallic initially that gives way to a bready flavor. Mild bitterness.

From a 16oz can dated Winter 2025-26 into a weizen glass.
Pours a translucent very dark reddish brown with about one finger of off white head. Ok retention, decent lacing.
Getting some caramel and light smoky notes. Nice bread aroma in there too.
Caramel and bread in the forefront taste-wise. Light smoke in the background. Very light but noticeable hop bitterness.
Pretty full-bodied coating mouthfeel. Low to medium carbonation.
This is a very nice beer.

Purchased at the Charlton site 4-days ago.
Poured from a 16-oz can stamped Autumn 2023 to a tulip at fridge temp.
The pour looks a lot like root beer in both body and head. It is much darker in color than the “Amber Lager” listing on the can suggests. Although the head fades rather quickly the glass laces quite well.
Malt rules the smell. Damp, decaying yard leaves, but in a good way.
This is one of the most malt forward tasting beers I have had in a long time. Surprisingly extremely dry also, but some citrus-like sweetness comes in during the finish.
The body is light and carbonation a little heavy.
I am not a fan of sweet dark beers and this one is the opposite of that. Weird way of saying I enjoyed it.

Pours a really nice amber, with decent head.
No noticeable smell.
Easy, simple to drink. Smooth.
Certainly nothing wrong with the beer. The style is just not great.

Pours beautifully, a deep dark amber brown with a fine off-white head and nearly separated rings of lacing.
Strong flavors, both malty and bitter, well balanced. Mouth feel is smooth, not too heavy or too fizzy. Really an excellent expression of the style.

Excellent red/brown ale. Nutty and toasty and bready with a touch of crispness in the finish. Really good.
