Pours a turgid, muddy yellow, frothy 1.5" head with moderate retention. Nose is grapefruit, grapefruit rinds, musk, menthol, orange juice concentrate. Taste is a spicy, resinous orange juice, black and white pepper, ruby red grapefruit. Nicely balanced between citrus sweetness and bitterness. Mouthfeel on the thick side, smooth, with a hint of carbonation. Not mind-blowing, but a solid, aggressive (but balanced) beer.

Man of man you just can't beat the nose on a good Treehouse IPA. Oh wait, I'm supposed to speak to the look first. Common look for one of these gems. Creamy, dense, light orange with a frothy head and good legs. Now back to that aroma! A killer blast of tropical blend with a unique spiciness to it like an orange with a clove stuck in it and a pinch of pepper. The last follows the nose but maybe doesn't deliver on the promise. Some bite in that citrus. Some sweet juiciness in the tropical notes. The finish has an edge to it that isn't bad but detracts a little. Fine brew.

One month old. Can to wine glass.

Look: Pours a full hazy yellow with a thick foamy head that leaves a good amount of lacing. No floaters visible.

Smell: Fresh tropical fruits paired with orange citrusy notes.

Taste: Mango, orange, hints of pineapple. All rather fresh than ripe. Fruity sweetness. Slightly zesty and just a little bitter.

Feel: Full and juicy. Thick and creamy. Slightly sharp and just the right amount of carbonation. Very smooth.

Overall: I drank number 7 a couple of weeks ago and thought they had already pushed it over the limit. After number 8 I have to correct myself. This one‘s incredible. Looks perfect, feels perfect. Smell and taste are great, too. Very nicely balanced. All fruit notes are complementing each other perfectly. Sweetness and bitterness are subtle, but just right in place.

Picked-up two cans at the Tree House Brewery in Charlton for about sixteen dollars. My two hundred and twenty seventh brew from these guys. This is very good.
