Žatec Harvest is our dry-hopped Czech-style lager. Building atop a crispy base of golden malt, it is dry-hopped with a judicious dose of fresh Saaz hops. In the glass, it pours a beautiful yellow color with a wispy white head and carries flavors and aromas of doughy malts, lemon drops, and zesty citrus propelled by crisp carbonation. The label features our cellar person Evan’s extended family during hop harvest in Žatec, Czechoslovakia, circa 1946, after surviving Auschwitz. Evan crafted a poem in their honor, which is shared here. With this label, we find comfort and hope in the idea that those who succeed us will think of us from time to time. Enjoy.

Pours a crystal clear golden color. Thick, frothy, billowy white head forms on the beer, lingers for a moment, then dissipates leaving a hilly layer of foam on the top of the beer. Aroma has notes of sweet malts, hay, dried straw, and some grassy hops.
Taste follows the nose with notes of sweet malts, straw, dried hay, and grassy hops. The hops on the back end are spicy and lightly vegetal. Feel is light, crisp, and bright. Sort of drier on the back end.
Overall it is a very nice Czech pilsner.

A little overly bitter in the finish and bready like a Helles. Good beer

Pours a gorgeous golden straw color with the slightest bit of suspended haze and a foamy white head that provides substantial lacing. Gorgeous beer. The nose is led by lemon drop aromas and a substantial doughy bread note that is perfect.
The taste has multiple suitors to lead this dance, and the lemon drop flavors are delicious, but it’s the rich, doughy bread flavors that make this beer for me, this perfectly balanced Czech lager.
The mouthfeel is medium and crunchily crisp. I believe this is my first lager from Tree House, and I need more, because I could drink GALLONS of this.

Canned 1/21/22. “Zaytec? Zahtec? Zawtec?“ stamped on the bottom of the can
Alright so everybody knows Tree House can make a good NEIPA, nobody’s questioning that. Their Lagers are on the rise as well recently, even fewer are in tune with how good Nomad, their Czech Dark Lager, really is. That’s why this one excites me, I wanna see how they handle a light-as-day Czech Lager. Let’s dive into it
Pours a crystal clear yellow with 3 fingers of soapy white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing
This is super bright in the nose, hinting at a very crisp beer. I’m picking up on aromas of lemon juice, crackery malt, orange zest, floral hops, white pepper, toasted grain, and a touch of honey
It holds its promise of crispness in taste, with a surprisingly assertive bitterness. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting bready malt, lemon zest, honey, toated grain, floral hops, and light toffee. The swallow brings notes of white pepper, crackery malt, earthy hops, lemon zest, and grapefruit pith
A light medium body pairs moderate carbonation, resulting in a crisp and airy beer. Finishes almost completely dry with only a slight sweetness to balance it out
This is a delicious beer. Delicate yet full flavored at the same time. They keep upping their Lager game
