Over the past several months we have been working to refine a House Blend of coffee that perfectly illustrates what we find enjoyable in a blended coffee. Knowing Triple Shot was the ideal base beer to utilize this blend in, we custom designed this base of Triple Shot with this particular coffee in mind. The result is a rich and perfectly integrated coffee beer with flavors and aromas of chocolate covered espresso beans, molasses, brown sugar cookies, rich milk chocolate, and dark red cherries. With a thick body and tight carbonation, it drinks much like a cold mocha frappe. It’s a complex beer and one that reveals layers of intrigue and character as it’s allowed to warm in the glass. Enjoy!

Ive had this beer for probably too long.... at least 3 years. Im sampling a 500 ml bottle poured into my snifter. The bottle has been in my fridge since purchase, no date stamp and I honestly dont remember how long ago I bought this one, but its been a while.
The beer pours a black coffee color in my glass, with no light passing through from a light source. A dense creamy tan head of 0.5cm foams up. this foam fades to a sturdy edge layer that remains during the sampling.
Aroma is coffee forward with some light sweetness mixed in, some milk chocolate and a bit of brown sugar balance the coffee and roast notes. No hop character and not boozy at all on the aroma.
First sip reveals a medium body with slightly sticky and full texture. Very fine and tingly carbonation comes with it. The beer does coat my palate and lips with each sip I take.
Flavor is a bit of sweet chocolate up front, but this gives way to a decent coffee hit, sort of sweetened coffee and not bitter though. There are hints of brown sugar to me here too, but no hop character and the booze is hidden. no peppery bite, no warming.
Im happy that the coffee notes are still present on this beer, which is certainly not fresh. Glad to have finally opened this one.

It's a thick, heavy, silky, mouth coating dessert coffee bomb. If inly the sweetness was cut down a but, this would be fantastic. It's still a tasty beer. Just one that gets tiring after half a can.

From a 16oz can, date-stamped ‘Winter 2023.’ Served in a tulip.
Pours an attractive oaky black with caramel highlights and a scant finger of coffee suds. Retention is pretty decent considering the abv, leaving a narrow margin and a rousable sheet of oily lacing.
Nose is warm and roasty with minimal apparent sweetness. Aromas of creamy chocolate and old wood - I don’t think there’s any barrel involved here but there is a pleasant woody character acquired from somewhere.
Taste does a bit of a 180° from the nose in being overpoweringly sugary and fudgy. Once past the sugary fudge onslaught, the coffee is creamy and fruity with notes of demerara sugar, orange and rosewater. A bit of a Terry’s Chocolate Orange taste at the finish. And burnt sugar.
Feel is silky-smooth and creamy, not syrupy, full bodied with minimal fine, prickly carbonation. Sticky lips.
It’s just like a really good cup of coffee: I mean, no matter how good the coffee is you can still fuck it up by upending the sugar canister into it. Clearly these are people who like their coffee heavily sweetened. I do not. Let us go our separate ways and I will trouble you no further. Meaning that I’m going to stop buying these coffee stouts expecting that maybe this time they won’t be so sweet.

One year old. Can to snifter.
L: Pours jet black with a foamy dark brown head that dissipates quickly leaving just a bit of lacing. No floaters.
S: Notes of coffee, milk chocolate and almonds. Malty, dark and roasty.
T: Milk chocolate, coffee and dried stone fruits. Sweet, roasty and slightly tart.
F: Very creamy with a low carbonation. Slightly oily and a bit sticky.
O: Looks great and drinks very nicely. However, it’s a bit too sweet for my taste, even though the flavor combination is quite nice. Definitely a very good beer, but it could have easily been even better.

16 oz can poured into a snifter. Pours an oily pitch black with a moderate tan head. Good retention and some lacing - impressive for the style. Aroma and flavor feature sweet espresso, dark chocolate, and dark roasted malts with some earthy hops. Not cloying, as there is a good amount of bitterness to offset the sweetness. Super complex with notes of caramel, dark fruit, hazelnut, and sweetened condensed milk. Mouthfeel is rich, palate-coating, creamy, and surprisingly not cloying or all that boozy. Overall this is a fantastic imperial coffee stout, possibly the best I've had. Wow.
