Traded with a friend for this recently, as I had no idea what beer this was until I scanned the QR code on the label (which was a first for me in all the years I've been enjoying beer!). Had a bunch of Curiosity's a few years ago and I recall those being groundbreaking and edgy. This beer was certainly enjoyable but was neither of those as as Huell Melon dominated here and ensure that this would be quite dank from start to finish!
Dirty in hue and melon in color, this had a ton of foam topping it off with just a bit of big bits of sediment ending up at the bottom of the liquid. The lacing that remained was spotty and scattered as it was more dense near the bottom of my pint glass. Tons of melon, orange blossom citrus, and dank hops in the muted nose as the taste was plenty juicy, balanced, and acrid in the back. An oat stickiness stuck around for the duration as I had to smack my lips several times after sips. A bit more carbonation would have been nice but as it was, this was still easy to enjoy.
Enough booze was here and I never detected in the taste as I warmed up a bit while finishing this off. Dated 3/18 on the bottom of the can with "OH WHAT A WEEK!" written above it, the label was easily the best aspect of this beer as it was one of the more artsy renditions that I've seen on a Tree House can. These guys have set the bar so high that my expectations for something like this were higher than they should have been but overall, this was enjoyable as a textboo offering from Tree House.
