Notes:
Brewed with Barbe Rouge, Nelson, Galaxy, and Citra hops, Holographic is an iterative take on our Double IPA series utilizing ultra-pale malts as a base with novel hop blends. Pouring a beautiful light yellow color in the glass, Holographic carries notes of orange mango juice, earthy tropical fruits, white wine, and passion fruit. Buoyed by a classically luscious Tree House body, Holographic is a juicy and easy-drinking Double IPA that we are excited to have in the family—Enjoy!

Nearing the tail end of the TH goodies @WunderLlama sent my direction during NBS BIF #16.
Pours with a deep hazy pale orange, like a pale orange juice with milk. Soft pile of velvety white that sticks to the glass beautifully.
Nose is quite pungent as soon as I pop the top of the can. Mango, orange, some pineapple, and that pineapple turns up into a higher sweeter note, so it's more like the concentrated pineapple juice you get from a can rather than the fruit itself.
Flavour is rich with pineapple and mango, some white wine grapes (but with a depth of richness rather than the sharp impression that flavour profile often imparts to me), some starfruit...
My wife feels that the bitterness is quite strong and up front, I feel it like it builds to the finish where it's that green underripe fruit version of bitterness that seems to be the preferred bitter outlet for the style (or at least for TH). Smoothe body with small carpeting carbonation that doesn't really stand out one way or the other.
Honestly this is probably one of the msot enjoyable Tree House brews I've had (and I've had a bunch recently, courtesy of Maynard). Maybe it doesn't hit the typical NEIPA notes and that's why it doesn't get as much love, and maybe that's why it appeals more to me, but I'm enjoying it. Thanks Maynard!

16oz. can into a Tree House teku.
Pale hazy color. Nice 0.5 finger coarse white head with good retention. Nice, layered lace. Nose is dank citrus, mango, papaya, and pineapple. Aromatic. Beer opens citrus, clementine, overripe mango, and pineapple. Juicy throughout with a light waxiness towards the end. Cane sugar and some fruit gummy on the finish. Very sweet and bright through. Almost a bit too sugary. Body is light and fluffy with ample carbonation. Prickly and lively on the palate. Aggressive on the finish. Clean, barely-there aftertaste. Super drinkable.
This one's actually a touch too sweet for my taste. But all the crowd-pleasing Tree House flavors are present.

Tree House Brewing Co. "Holographic"
16 fl. oz. can coded "HUMP DAY BREW 04/20/22 05:39:53" and sampled on 05/19/22

Notes via stream of consciousness: Ahhh, this is the Holographic brewed with Barbe Rouge hops from France. I've only had a few beers that have used them but they give beautiful notes of red berries, currants, and citrus. It's also got some Nelson Sauvin, Galaxy, and Citra. It's a double IPA at 8.2% ABV with a murky golden body and two finger thick head of slightly yellowed off-white foam. The aroma is unusual. I get some currant, some white grape and/or lychees in syrup, non-descript (but mostly like orange ) citrus, and guava. On to the taste... it's sweet but not too sweet, and balanced by a fair bit of acidic "hop bite" and a moderate bitterness. That sweetness makes the berry notes shine. There's a little strawberry to it, some sweet red raspberry, and just a little bit of currant but the white grape, lychee, and citrus remain. As to the citrus I'll definitely say orange, and maybe some lime. Some gooseberry lingers in the finish with some citrus pith and a bit of earthiness. It's good. The malt is very straightforward and basic and I'm going to guess that it's just 2-row breweres malt or something like Best Malz Heidelberg malt. In the mouth it's medium bodied with a gentle caress from a fine-bubbled moderate carbonation that's penned in by lots of extra proteins that leave it smooth with just a little bit of edginess due to the "hop burn". Like almost all of the Treehouse beers the head retention is really good and I still have a solid, creamy, and complete surface covering. The lacing is not as great as some but it's really good and I'm torn between scoring it as a 4.25 or 4.5 out of 5. In the end this is another one of the more approachable and sweeter/less resinous of the Treehouse beers. I love the punch in the face of some of their dank heavy hitters but I also love the simplicity and great drinkablitity of fruity beers like this. Even at 8.2% it seems like I could drink at least 4 of these in a row!

Cloudy, vibrant OJ color with three fingers of yellowed head. Great retention and plenty of lacing.
Cut grass, cat pee, white wine and dank in the nose. Great stank.
A little strawberry and other fruit medley fruitiness up front in the taste. Some more of the dank flavors mid-palate. Bitter, grassy aftertaste.
Extra creamy, full bodied feel with tight carbonation.
Delicious beer. A real treat.

Had on tap at Sandwich. Pours hazy, pale gold in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is tangerine, mango and white sugar, with a touch of white wine. Moderate body and carbonation, bitter. Nice combination of flavors that is only enhanced by the extra sugar that is reminiscent of Super Treat. I like this one. A nice surprise after several recent so so releases.
