Notes: Brewed with a combination of Nelson Sauvin, Motueka, Hallertau Blanc, and Citra hops, Azure is a truly delightful Double IPA!

Pouring a fluffy yellow color in the glass, it carries flavors and aromas of juicy tangerine, sauvignon blanc, sweet lime, and a bounty of tropical fruit offset by a gentle and quenching bitterness.

You can imagine a bright blue sky filled with puffy white clouds in a New Zealand countryside as a you enjoy Azure--Just as we'd imagine it to be!

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Tree House in Sandwich for about twenty one dollars. My three hundred and nineteenth brew from these guys. Pretty good.

From a 16oz can dated 11/7/22 into a tulip.

Pours an essentially opaque light brownish yellow with about two and a half fingers of white head. Very good retention and excellent lacing.

Strong smells of grape, oranges, white wine, tangerines and maybe a hint of strawberry.

Taste follows. Very juicy. Light grape/wine, fruit gum and oranges. Very light bitterness on the back end.

Very soft mouthfeel. Medium-bodied but perhaps a touch thin compared to some other TH DIPAs. Medium carbonation. Very light bitter aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel and thinner body make this one dangerously drinkable.

Another winner from Tree House. Didn't find this one to be super nelson forward but definitely noticeable.

Canned 11/1/22. “Wake up, wake up, wake up” stamped on the bottom of the can

Alright, time to get back to the Tree House haul. This is one of their newer NEIPAs that I’ve seen the past few times I went, but never bothered grabbing until it was part of this mixed case. Let’s see what it’s all about

Pours a hazy pale gold with 3 fingers of creamy off white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing

The nose is pretty sweet but not overly sweet. I’m picking up on aromas of papaya, overripe peach, creamy vanilla, orange juice, pineapple juice, light grassy hops, and overripe cantaloupe

There’s a more pronounced bitterness in taste which is much appreciated. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting orange juice, floral hops, doughy malt, weed, papaya, overripe mango, and light pineapple. The swallow brings notes of grassy hops, tangerine zest, orange juice, bready malt, weed, overripe cantaloupe, and light pineapple

A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a creamy beer with a nice bite. Finishes mostly dry with a firm bitterness

This one is quite good. I wasn’t expecting that much bitterness based on the aroma, but it really benefited from it

Had on tap at Sandwich. Pours ultra hazy, pale gold in color with one quarter inch head. Taste is a lot of Tangerine and orange juice. Heavy body, moderate low carbonation, bitter. Tastes like a Doppleganger variation. Good ipa but not much different from their other ipas.

canned on 6/24/22.

16oz tallboy can. poured into Durobar Charente stemmed balloon glass.

Appearance: Hazy golden orange body with tall bone white head. Really thick lacing on the glass. Really good head retention too.

Smell: light orange. Big lemon lime notes. Finishes with grapefruit zest.

Taste: The flavor is much the same. Lemon lime notes are big with a white grape note. Hint of pineapples. Big lingering grapefruity citrusy finish. Very minimal and almost unnoticeable bitterness. Lightly dank weed note dispersed throughout too.

Mouthfeel: Light light hazy DIPA. Light bodied beer even at 8%. Moderate carbonation levels. Very soft, delicate, light and airy while being rather creamy. I think that Treehouse has stepped up the game of just how light and fluffy the hoppy beers are.

Overall: Wow, the mouthfeel on this DIPA is just stunning. I don't remember that the treehouse hazy hops used to be this impressive in the mouthfeel department. Lemon lime, white grape, and grapefruit are not really my favorite hop notes, but it seems to meld together decently.

16oz can 6/24/22.

Pours classic Treehouse turbid with plenty of tattered lacework and persistent retention. Grapeskins, unripe peach, grapefruit, and dried pineapple in the nose. Medium bodied with a soft, creamy mouthfeel. Bursting with zesty fruit on the palate with minimal malt and a balancing bitterness. Pineapple, peach, grapefruit, and lemon-lime. Finishes juicy but dry with lingering spicy tropicals.

I don’t usually do reviews as what is there left to say after a beer has been reviewed 50 times. Also, many TH beers are so similar that reviewing yet another DIPA is redundant. This beer is different. Color is on the yellow side, turbid, with two finger head that dissipates quickly to the rim and lacing.
Smell is a little off putting of onions/allium family at first and then banana bread as it warms. And then grass (lawn).
Taste: Here is where the difference is. Not the typical juice bomb from TH (which I love) but the NS hops give it a lighter taste. More lemon lime citrus than orange or tropical. Some folks hate the NS hop but I like how it gives a Sav blanc character to the beer. Sweet long finish.
Feel: typical delicious TH pillowy mouth feel. Carbonation is just right.
Overall this beer is great. I’ve been tasting through my latest TH haul and this one stands out as being different compared to the likes of One, C125, King JJJ…

Creamy and we’ll balanced flavor. Very smooth but with a fulfilling body. Taste is fruity but not too strong.
