Canned 10/16/2024. A very well-crafted milkshake DIPA. The aroma seemed a bit subdued, but the palate is quite nice with the soft mouthfeel one expects from the style.

Pours a hazed gold with one finger of eggshell colored head. Rings of lacing & Average-ish head retention
S: Tropical fruit & citrus, but not in copious amounts, Some more pineapple once pretty warm
T: Follows the nose, oranges, passion fruit, pineapple & dryness up front; some lime &nectarine as well. Dryness, Pomelo, Limes & Pink Grapefruit as this beer warms up, slight orange sweetness & a little vanilla too, Finishes dry with pineapple, grapefruit
MF: Medium body, minimal carbonation, nice balance
Great drinkability, I am sure I did this beer no favors hiding it from myself for 4 weeks +

Month-old can poured into a tulip.
Murky pale-orange (and slightly brownish) coloring that is full Orange Julius. Not particularly attractive, but the creamy, bright-white head of compact bubbles and moderate lacing tilt the overall appearance back into high quality territory.
Aroma profile is honestly unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Not sure how much of that is amped up sweetness from the lactose, but regardless, it is unique. The typical TH Juicy Fruit gum, lemongrass, and well-formed tropical fruit notes are present, but there is an overwhelming (in a good way) candied pineapple note that takes this to new and different heights. Full “tropical Julius” persona, and I am digging it big time.
Whereas the candied pineapple and milk sugar is additive in the nose, it’s less successful on the tongue. A little too much powdered sugar comes through, which steals from the lovely citrus, tropical, and stone fruit notes that flow across the tongue. But it’s still highly enjoyable and we’ll crafted. Just a tad artificial, coming off a little bit like a Capri-Sun pouch on the tropical side.
Soft, silky, and coating, with some nice pith but a touch too much residual sweetness lingering in the teeth and tongue.
For the uniqueness alone I would have this beer anytime I could find it. But I would not want to have multiple cans of it given that it’s just a touch too sweet for my palate.

a: hazy creamy orange and dark yellow color. a hint of very light brown. 2 finger frothy white head
s: very creamy aroma. creamsicle ice cream, tangerines, peaches, and nectarines. orange juice, peach juice and peach cobbler. passionfruit and a hint of vanilla. ripe pineapple and mango. papaya and dragonfruit. a bit of a crackery backbone. really nice and creamy aroma
t: strawberry, kiwi, and faint coconut?. passionfruit, dragonfruit, and peach. nectarines, orange juice, and peach sorbet. creamsicle, and mango ice cream. i'm not sure i'm really picking up any coconut, but this almost tastes like an island drink...
m: creamy, medium mouthfeel with low carbonation. a touch of raw hop burn
o: interesting beer from Tree House. Doesn't taste like the usual yeast, but i know it's in there. as stated above, tastes almost like an island cocktail - topical and sweet.
