Nectarous Mango is an American IPA brewed with a studious selection of fruit-forward American hops, mango purée, and a touch of milk sugar. Pouring a vibrant orange color into the glass, it carries rich notes of mango creamsicle, mango gummies, and mango cream. Meticulously brewed to be incredibly flavorful yet deliciously drinkable, Nectarous Mango is a delightful beverage with wide appeal.

Sent my direction by @WunderLlama during NBS BIF #16.

Pour is a pale chalky orange with lively bubbles, and a good two fingers+ of egg white foam that lingers and leaves lovely patches on the glass as it slooooowwly recedes.

Nose is sweet tropical fruits and again a defining yeasty character that I got also on the Nectarous Yellow Watermelon, but which my wife, who is generally pretty sensitive to yeasty character, didn't pick up, or at least didn't identify as such, so I don't know maybe it's just me. But it's very clearly present and identifiable to me. *shrug*

Again, I get a bit of that yeasty character up front, but it's not as all-encompassing as the watermelon version. Sweet tropical fruits back it up again, but not distinctly mango to my palate. Also similar to the yellow watermelon, it gives the impression of DDH (or at least characteristics that I strongly associate with that process), but I don't think this beer is explicitly dry hopped like that, or at least it doesn't mention it on the label. Finish brings in a faint touch of bitter hops, and it's the bitterness of firm underripe fruit.

Mouthfeel is slick and oily, with a sharp carpet of carbonation, and that almost chalky.drying sensation that I refer to above as being one I associate with DDHing (again, with the caveat that I don't think this is actually DDHed, or at least there's no mention of it on the can). The faint bitterness builds and piles on itself until by the end of the can it sits with you and is much more prominent on the aftertaste than it is when actually tasting the liquid itself.
Ultimately, I'm not that big a fan of the Nectarous series (or at least the two that I've gotten to try). I enjoy this one slightly more than the watermelon, though I think the watermelon itself comes through better than the mango does.

I am, however, immensely grateful to Maynard for sending this my direction so I can experience something outside of my wheelhouse and make an informed judgement for myself. Thanks, man!!

Pours hazy, gold in color with one inch head. Taste is mango and cream. Sweet, moderate carbonation and body. Would have liked to have this fresher than 20 days old but this is still an excellent beer. Mango, vanilla, cream...all you want in a milkshake ipa. This will not last long in my fridge.

“Got my mind set on you”

Poured into a teku produces a frothy white two finger layer over a hazy orange liquid , good retention , settles to a pencil thick layer , lots of lacings

Aroma is mango, tropical fruits , bubblegum

Taste is mango , hint of vanilla , a mango creamsicle is an apt description

Smooth , creamy , slightly sweet
