Following primary fermentation, this carefully managed batch of Trail received a judicious dose of personally-selected Citra hops! This treatment elevates the flavor profile, presenting with notes of orange marmalade, lychee, and tropical fruit across a smooth and robust lager base. Refined and dutifully executed, Trail Citra is certain to delight your tastebuds. We trust you will enjoy it as much as we do!

12 oz can.
Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a massive fluffy white head. Great head retention. Leaves a crown of cobweb lacing.
Aroma has loads of citrus, grass, and bready malts.
Flavor is more of the same. Citrusy, faintly spicy. Wet grass and sweet doughy malt.
Body is medium-light with good carbonation. Very clean. As with all the Trail variants this is disturbingly drinkable.
Overall, this is a great hoppy German "pils". The appearance is more like a kellerbier, but everything else is on point for the style. Clean and crisp. Nicely balanced.

On side pull tap at Tree House Brewing Company in Saratoga, NY.
This one pours a mostly clear golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like fresh cut grass and freshly squeezed orange juice.
Trail Magic has so many different iterations, and they’re all so much better than the early days of that pilsner. Tree House’s lager games is leaps and bounds better than the early days. This has some nice breadiness, and a bit of pine and freshly cut grass, with a nice Citra drizzling of orange juice and orange peel.
This is lighter bodied, crisp, clean, and super drinkable.
This is a really tasty expression of Citra that doesn’t completely overwhelm the base lager.

Fine, golden color, appears unfiltered; thick, frothy, long-lasting, white head, semi-creamy texture, spidery patches of foam cling to the inside of the glass. Low-key fresh citrus aroma, lemon and tangerine. Mild, delicate flavors; twinge of bread crust; lightweight fruity esters; minimal hop bitterness. Medium-light body; lightly juicy.
This is a very fine lager, seemingly simple yet slyly complex.
ABV: 5.1%; pouring temperature: 49 °F; canning info: Summer 2024
