Very Yellow is a rendition of Very Green featuring pineapple purée. This addition serves to thoughtfully amplify the pineapple-like characteristics of the base beer. It pours a glowing yellow color into your glass and carries intense flavors and aromas of overripe pineapple, pineapple gummies, piña colada, and citrus. It is a shining example of how delicious a beverage can be by pairing excellent ingredients with refined brewing expertise-Enjoy!

Tree House Brewing Co. "Very Yellow"
16 fl. oz. can coded "LIVE WELL 05.01.26". Sampled on 05.23.26
Notes via stream of consciousness: This is "Very Green" with the addition of pineapple puree. It's poured a murky golden-orange body beneath a full head of white foam that holds remarkably well. The aroma is tropically fruity/citrusy (pineapple/orange/grapefruit), very resinous, and a bit spicy. I can't recall the original "Very Green" well enough to say for sure that I'm not finding this version any more pineapple-like in the nose, but that's my impression. On to the taste - well, there's more pineapple there. "Very Green" is an intense beer, and I think the additional pineapple here helps to smooth and balance it. In the aroma I was finding pineapple, orange, and grapefruit at similar levels but the pineapple definitely dominates in the taste. I wish I had had the forethought to buy some "Very Green" so I could taste them side by side but I'm thinking I like this version better. I know that's still apples and oranges, or in this case pineapples and oranges, because they're truly different beers but this version tickles my fancy. It doesn't seem that bitter, at least upfront, perhaps because the additional pineapple is adding extra sweetness. It's dry in the finish, and very nicely balanced. Some alcohol is noticeable but at 8.6% that's to be expected, especially when there are a lot of resinous hop oils involved, and both help to dry it, although there is still some very clear bitterness lingering. In the mouth it's medium bodied on the upper end, and gently crisp and then smooth across the palate. I'm personally loving it, but I somehow feel that this won't get as much love as some of their other double IPAs.

16oz can dated 11/30/22.
Pours cloudy yellow with an inch-plus head of white. Pineapple and peach in the nose. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Pineapple with light spruce on the palate. Finishes juicy with minimal malt and a slightly pithy bitterness.

Picked-up two cans at Tree House in Sandwich for about thirteen dollars. My two hundred and eighty fourth brew from these guys. Canned on date of 11/30. Good, not great. Don't love the yellow family.
