This batch of Double Shot was crafted to display the immensely distinctive and enjoyable characteristics of a select Colombian coffee-- Pink Bourbon! Grown by producer Wilson Ducuara on his farm in Los Almendros, it is an ideal coffee for fall with notes of Fuji apples, dark chocolate, and toasted almonds. With a silky mouthfeel and exceptional provenance, this batch of Double Shot is one to celebrate, indeed.

L - rich, dark brown with a silky tan head. I love the pink label.
S - fudge brownies. Bourbon-soaked chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Light fruits a la blueberry and raspberry.
T - medium roast. Not too bitter, but not too sweet or lighthearted. Balanced caramel, marshmallow, brown sugar, and iced latte. Marzipan mellowness finishes with what I'm guessing is that Fuji apple dryness.
F - soft on the lips and spicy on the swallow. Medium body with gentle fizz that complements the roastiness.
O - not nearly as potent and "sharp" as other Double Shots. This one is fitting of the label. Gentle and romantic.

16oz can. Stamped on can bottom is 'PINK IS MY FAVORITE COLOR', no other dating information found.
Black colored body. Two fingers, then down to a skiff of tan head. Partial wall and spots of lacing.
Aroma is dark roasted malts and intense black coffee.
Taste is dark roasted malts and dark coffee, with a bit of chocolate, also almonds and green apple. Coffee and chocolate in the aftertaste.
Fuller mouth feel with creamy texture. Bit of spice. Supportive carbonation.
Very solid coffee stout, which uses the coffee characteristics to great effect.

I got some on a recent trip and am so glad I did. Pours an almost black look, and even for my 75 year old nose I hade had some wonderful smells wafting by my nose, overall just maybe one of their best American stouts to date. Certainly one of MY best stouts from the “Tree”!

Pours a thick syrupy black color with a short medium bodied tan colored head that leaves a bit of lacing down the glass. Smells of deep roasted malts , sweet bourbon aromas, coffee, molasses, and brown sugar. Taste is sweet bourbon, brown sugar, molasses, and coffee. Thick, smooth, velvety, nice amount of carbonation for this style. Overall another excellent rendition of their Double Shot.

Dang there are a lot of these Double Shots! It would be interesting to taste a few side by side to see how different they are. As usual the thick, chocolatey base stout plays well with medium roast coffee that has a hint of black pepper to it. Very good as usual.
