Warm Your Bones is our Winter Warmer! It begins with a complex assortment of grain featuring 2-row barley, white wheat, crystal malt, and a hint of chocolate malt. We add just the right touch of orange blossom honey, cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg to create a symphony of warming spice in the glass!
Pouring a golden orange color into a tall chalice, Warm Your Bones features notes of mixed holiday spices, orange marmalade, and honey buoyed by a sturdy malt base and gentle carbonation.
It is an ideal companion to a day on the ice fishing, or by the fireside in the evening

16oz can from Buckeyeboy. Dark brown pour, foamy beige head. Cinnamon and winter spice lead the aroma, not very strong, but prominent. Taste is more of the savory spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, backed up by some bland toasted malts. Didn't work for me

Pours a brownish copper color with two big fingers of off-white head. The nose is both bready and nutty. The flavor follows the nose, but the whole profile is just not quite as robust as I expected. The body is solid for the style.

16oz can poured into a tall chalice, as the can suggests.
A: Red-orange in color with an absolutely brilliant clarity. A finger of beige head retains very well. Chunky and webby lacing.
S: Great multigrain profile initially: very toasty, crystal malt brings that sort of candy shell aroma, nuttiness and brown cocoa. tangerine peel and orange marmalade. A little bit of herbal hopping. subtle notes of steely cinnamon and citrusy clove. Hint of nutty and dusty yeast.
T: Nutty, toasty, and steely. Herbal hop bitterness. Flash of tangerine spritz. Dusty and nutty. Quick interjection of light nutty coffee and smoke. Clove hits with its own citrusy pull, but the cinnamon is barley perceptible and more steely than anything. Dry finish of grain and toast.
M: On the lighter side of medium bodied. Light creaminess is interrupted by a blast of scrubbing, fine-bubbled carbonation that goes almost seltzery.
O: The nose has some promise, but this one just doesn't come together for me. The body seems to be lacking in that robust roundness I want in an English Winter Warmer, and it distinctly lacks the quintessential British ale yeast fermentation character necessary to do the style justice. In consequence it comes off as rather anemic, and lead by a thin grainy character. This recipe needs to go back to the drawing board, I think.

On tap at Tree House Deerfield
Alright, my first time hitting the Tree House in Deerfield. I’ve been meaning to come to this one for a while now, they’ve been open for a little over a year. With a day off and nothing better to do, me and my buddy decided to make the trip. So, they’re going for a Winter Warmer now huh? Let’s see what it’s all about
Pours a mostly clear reddish brown with 2 fingers of creamy off white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing
The nose has quite the spice to it, but not in an overbearing way. I’m picking up on aromas of maple syrup, dark toast, herbal hops, wildflower honey, orange zest, and light clove
It doesn’t have quite the same bite in taste. It’s still good but falls a bit flat. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting dark bread, wildflower honey, herbal hops, light roast coffee, nutmeg, toasted grain, and light toffee. The swallow brings notes of dark toast, wildflower honey, rye spice, toffee, black pepper, herbal hops, and light clove
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes a tad sticky and spicy
This is nothing amazing, but certainly good. They may have went a bit too hard with the spices but I can appreciate it for what it is

This is a good version of this style, I really like how it’s got a pretty full body, and all the flavor adds are subtle. Not something that's going over the top and I like that.
