Jalagreeño is a rendition of Green conditioned on jalapeños! Pouring a beautiful hazy yellow color into your glass, the nose carries an aromatic bouquet of peppery earthiness and spicy pineapple. The flavor follows suit with firm but flavorful heat throughout the glass, which plays beautifully with the sweet pineapple characteristics of the base beer.

1/24/25 dated tall can direct from the source in western Ma.
Typical terrific TH juiced n hazed look…frothy cap, loads of fie sheeting…the works.
Yes, some mild chili pepper character on the sniff….along with the tropical fruit gang.
Delicious NEIPA, minor, if any actual heat…but I do get some mild chili notes, presence, flavor and character….I wish it was a notch more spicy…but still damn good…go get some

Very much what you'd expect from Green on jalapeños. Not a lot of heat from the peppers, but plenty of flavor. Pairs well with a meal featuring pepper heat.

16oz can poured into a snifter.
A: Dull yellow color with a ton of haze that makes the liquid totally opaque. Creamy white head builds to two fingers and retains well. Clumpy lacing.
S: Playful kiwi/melon top notes. Bit of underripe mango. Star fruit. Floral with a lot of pulpy lemon pith and lemon drop candy. Tangerine. Jalapeno does come out with a very mild peppery spice and then fades into the background. Doughy malt base with a dose of confectioner's sugar.
T: Follow the nose at first, with those playful southern hemisphere hop flavors bringing bursts of tropical juiciness. Mango, melon, kiwi, papaya. Pineapple and tangerine. Eventually a more pithy and lemony hop character begins to pull through. Hints of spruce tips. Grassy and oily/spicy. Bitterness kicks up a bit, but stays pretty tame overall. The jalapeno pulls through just a bit, with that green peppery flavor and only the slightest tickle of heat. Malt base is quite full and doughy, with some wheatiness and confectioners sugar sweetness rounding things out. The jalapeno heat builds a little on the back end and into the finish, but never gets past a moderate tickle. It rides things out alongside fading tropical hop notes.
M: Full, round, and fluffy in the mouth. Chewy and lush. Some very mild hop astringency grips at the teeth a hair. Faint brush of alcohol warmth and that tickle of capsaicin. Carbonation is ample, and lifts with a bit of a sharp prickle around the tongue.
O: It works fairly well. The heat level is reasonable but not too challenging. The flavor and capsaicin tickle do mesh pretty well with the base beer. Not as memorable a pepper beer as the greats like Habanero Sculpin, but if you have a spicy pepper beer itch that needs scratching, you could do worse.

Poured from 16oz can stamped “LIVE WELL 07/01/24” poured to a Nonic at fridge temp.
There is a typical TH hazy apricot body with a similarly typical head for a TH hazy offering.
It really does smell of fresh, uncut jalapenos with the familiar Very Green fruitiness.
A sip brings the spice, but it's not super strong. This spice grows during the session but never to an unpleasant level. There is a strong fruit background poking through- Pineapple is the biggest note followed by lime.
Mouthfeel is also TH traditional for their hazzies. The carbonation seems stronger, but maybe that's because it pushes the spice a little bit further.
This is well done. Not skimping on the spice, but not killing the pallet. The fruity background is very welcome.

I had the Very version months ago, so it's nice to get a chance to sample the OG version.
Piney and earthy notes figure more prominently on the nose than the peppery heat. The heat surfaces somewhat in the flavor profile, but it's pretty mild.
I wasn't sure about pairing this with an after dinner cigar, but the pairing worked nicely.
